Scotland are really good to watch. They don't have the most football ability but they play as a proper team.

In terms of proper team work they beat England hands down.

Fletcher has been ace again as well.

I think we can already safely say, we looked like a much better balanced team, with two wingers. Barry and Gerrard have already shown they are more compatible than Lampard and Gerrard.

    ok

I cannot see how we won't score in this game.

Hes in the team by name only.

He hasn't played enough football or produced enough positive performances to merit a starting place.

I'm highly critical of Owen's place in the team.

In his time in football hes only ever made one partnership work and that was with Heskey, after all his injuries hes lost pace, and his only asset was his finishing, and at the moment it doesn't look like hes got that either.

You're also ommiting other players for the Owen-must-start law. He's missed one great throughpass from Joe Cole too (due to lack of pace) and fluffed another chance in the box.

Why not Defoe or Johnson at the moment. Or Derbyshire - start with the future now.

Owen's one-on-one is $h!t, because he only tried to blast the ball instead of placing it. You might as well have a slow Djibril Cisse upfront.
