Who will win the Premiership?
I went for United. I know they've had a sloppy start but they've got the talent to turn it around (and have almost caught up). Liverpool 2nd, Arsenal 3rd and 4th will be one of Spurs, City, West Ham or Newcastle.

Chelsea or Man United.
With Liverpool and Arsenal 10 points closer than there were last year.

Such a pessimist.
Chelsea will be in the top 4 this season, i expect the major changes to take place in the summer, when Mourinho is back in management and wants to get some of his bitches into whomever he takes over.

The good thing is , Manchester United have all their special players back and the bench looks much better. Arsenal + Liverpool ; excellent starts can easily be consistent enough to make it a 3 horse race , I'm not ruling out Chelsea they were hurt last season and want to prove they can win the title without Jose.

Re: Who will win the Premiership?
Arsenal have started like a rocket and still being dismissed? I still think Chelsea will be in contention because they still have all the same players who know each other's game well so its not as if Grant is able to make massive overhauls he can just make small steps.

If Arsenal play like that against the other big 3 teams and start winning the tricky away games then they'll have a great chance.
They beat Spurs on the road but still struggled against Blackburn.

Man Utd will win it, we are not far off despite being abysmal. yesterday signs that we are about to be playing free flowing slick fancy football again. So you would be an idiot to think anybody else

Re: Who will win the Premiership?
The glass is now half-empty FG. Believe me, if Roman believes that his friend Grant can get more out of the current team (by this I'm excluding the injured Drogba, Lampard, Pizarro, Carvalho, Bridge etc) than Jose then he's more of a fool than first thought.
We have the money, we have the resources, we even have the players but we have an incompetent board and an unproven manager. My views have changed completely. I will be happy with 4th place this season.

Re: Who will win the Premiership?
You really think we can't kick Chelsea out of second place now with their instability. I really don't know how to read this PL campaign. IMO Arsenal are still too fragile, Liverpool still don't have the quality and ManU look too imbalanced. I had Chelsea to win it until they started conceding stupid goals. And now t looks as though they don't know how to play without a target man.Parks lives wrote:Chelsea or Man United.

The players are still the same s4p... I mean cmon, if he can get a cohesive unit going why shouldn't they challenge, its not as if he is starting from scratch he already has a top notce squad minus a #10

Could have easily dropped points at home to fulham at the same time. They have had a good start. Teams have good spells and bad spells, just so happen they have had theres at the start

Of course it will be difficult to bring a manager who will take like a duck to water with Chelsea.
However i would prefer if i were you, to look at it as another opportunity to do something new, innovative and positive with the team, you never know you may get somebody in who not only wins games, but wants his teams to play good football too.
I wouldn't be too downbeat, with the money Roman has, its harder to fail than it is to succeed

Re: Who will win the Premiership?
I think S4P needs a and a .
It's not that bad; the idea, short- or long-term, has to be to get a manager in who aims to win more positively, which will I suppose involve shifts in tactical mindset and in personnel. Without any new faces, just imagine Essien and Ballack in central midfield together AT LAST, as they should be, with say Cole (or Wright-Phillips) and Malouda as wide midfielders, Drogba and Pizarro up front – I think some very decent football could be played.
I just hope it isn't Klinsi who accepts the job...

Re: Who will win the Premiership?
Though Avaram Grant isnt going to win premiership, I am sure he is just a stop gap arrangement till someone better is brought in.
However if Grant does stay manager post November (When Hiddink is likely to be available) It will be a 3 horse race.
Chelsea still have the best squad in the league, but not a manager who can hack it. It would be worse than Ranieri IMO.

A little different but ok. Once Nani and Tevez settle in properly i think we can handle life without ronaldo or rooney. But say cesc gets injured, what will arsenal do?

Struggle.
We lack squad depth, I agree. I guess We'd play Denilson there as Diaby isn't anywhere near as good a passer.
I think we're reasonably well covered elsewhere though

play rosicky, hleb, or Denilson in the middle. We have Eduardo who can play on the left incase one of the 1st two is switched to the centre.
I am happy with our squad.
