With it looking like none of the home nations will qualify for Euro2008 should the FA/Sky/bbc/Umbro organise a home tournament?

If it's a tournie it would be strange if they'd all play at home, now wouldn't it ?

hmm, could be fun. But it would fall down as

    1) Prem managers wouldn't like it and would kick up a massive stink
    2) Players wouldn't really want to play in what would be a bunch of glorified friendlies and many stars would drop out.
    3) The manager/team wouldn't give 100% in basically meaningless games.

I think number 3 is more England wouldn't care. We have players on there who couldn't give a f@ck about a rivals match between England and Scotland. When we had the likes of Ince, Pearce, Gazza and Sheringham...a home nations tournament would be fantastic.

On the plus side, it might be nice to see some lower level players who are grateful as f@ck for their first few England caps giving their all and really playing with pride.

    ok

a competitive England B side would give us a chance to find our new goalkeeper/midfield. But in reality it would probably just end up being the same old also rans: Smith, Jenas, Neville etc. Maybe make it U23 like the Olympics?
