Bull. Walcott has been Cr@p for Arsenal until the start of this season, where he's showing the sort of form he did 2 years ago for Southampton. Some achievement Wenger, taking a player back two years in his development...

exactly the same you can't expect managers to come out and say we've got 2 average GKs, and 1 with promise whose still young ffs.

i rarely watch managers interviews for this v reason, its futile listening to them, they are bound to say we did well if they won, we were unlucky/poor depending on circs, my players are great, etc., etc. pretty sure fergie beefs up his players all the time, he did it last night how they'd come in done v well in diff formations, how team spirit was good. he'd be wrong to say any different in public.

wenger is clearly wrong to have been so brunt, but in fairness fergie has developed CR, as he has with rooney to a point, as wenger has done with cesc but they were all bought so a reasonable amount of credit goes to the original clubs but player development doesn't stop when they are bought

Yes. Uefa recognise these players as academy trained and their post technical developments usually occurs at the ages between 17-23.

I wouldn't even say John Terry is a Chelsea product, and we took him at 14.

I think it should be the club who effectively taught him how to play the game, developed him from a very young age are the club with the right to say they've produced the player, not the club who paid £ Xm for him.

Time will tell whether he is or not, but at the moment, he's averaging £4m a goal.

so are you saying chelsea never taught him anything about playing football, don't be so daft of cause they did.

walcott got about 10 assists in all comp last season mainly as a sub all at the grand age of 17. Yeah he's only scored one meaning goal and another 2 against a mediocre opposition
