    Looks like Obafemi Martins is leaving Inter(the scum) after asking to be placed on the transfer list. Tottenham, Newcastle, Valencia, Chelsea and Portsmouth have all been mentioned. This leads me to ask 3 questions...

    1. Who do you think he WILL go to?
    2. Who do you think he SHOULD go to?
    3. Does a "transfer list" exist?

    Newcastle? They're obviously thinking about replacing Owen then, rather than buying someone to compliment him when he returns from injury.

    Another key question should be 'how would he do in the premiership?'.....

    We're probably only mentioned because he's a striker and he's available. We've got plenty of pace in the side, we need a good target man(Kuyt).

    I want to know this!!

    I am not sure where hell go. I would say Newcastle, but he would be defunct as soon as Owen returns, since IMO there is no way they could play together.

    Spurs already have 3 decent strikers, including one whose style of play is already like Martins.

    Chelsea have Kalou who is similar(ish) also.

    Portsmouth will have an offer accepted, but MArtins will reject them.

    Valencia could do with him, more than the other mentioned clubs.

    Martins and Villa would almost be as defunct as Owen and Martins though. Chelsea could be a viable option. I think he differs to Kalou in the sense that Kalou tends to run at people, whereas Martins starts on the shoulder and runs beyond them, similar to Owen/defoe/Bellamy et al.

    yeah I agree about the difference between Kalou and Martins.

    However, will he really just want to trade being a reserve at Inter for being a reserve at Chelsea ? I dont see us signing another striker. In theory we lost 3 gained 2 this summer, but one of the ones we lost played around 4 games all season (carlton cole).

    ...Maybe you'd give him better wages?

    I'm unconcerned where he goes to be honest, aslong as it's not to us, we no longer need a player like him.

    Utd, as a Saha back-up/alternative, would be a viable option, but an unlikely one perhaps.

    I did think about this when I typed it.

    Dunno maybe. I suppose the fact we have a load of African players would help as well. It would appeal to Kenyon's sense of global marketing also Doh

    I think he should go to Valencia but i think he will end up in the Premiership at Tottenham, Bolton (please no) or Newcastle.

    How much do they want for him ?? £10m?

    I'd love to cash in on Defoe and sign Oba-Goal.

    Lighning quick, Left-footed and can actually get involved in build-up play. Very Strong too. Much more versatile than given credit for.

    For those who doubt him...

    * He made his introduction on the big stage - by turning Maldini

    * Roasted Arsenal at Highbury.

    * Nutmegging Buffon

    * He's got a good CL record as well. [/img]

    Of those teams, he should go to Newcastle. He is a striker and will therefore be treated like baby Jesus at the right hand of Our Father Kevin.

    Alternatively, if Valencia sell us Villa for £15m he should go there as the replacement. Wink
