Lakshmi Mittal (5th richest man in the world - makes RA look like a pauper)

has just bought a 20% stake in the club, if he invests even a tiny bit of what he could potentially, this club will be in the Premiership in a very short space of time.

They'll be in the Premiership next season if they go about it the right way. And someone will break the top four this season, I reckon.

Well they actually have a lot of fans. So it could work for them, but it would take 5 years for them to be in with the top 4. You don't get the best players just by having money.

They *potentially* don't just have money though, they could potentially have the most obscene amount of money in the football world that would dwarf even what Chelsea have.

14 points off the play-offs. They could go up this season if they did throw money around like they can.

Brilliant news. I'm keeping an eye out for their results at the moment as my new flat is literally within 5 minutes walk of Loftus Road. Would be fantastic if they were to return to the top flight.

They've never been able to attract THAT big a crowd, 20,000 or so when in the EPL, but their fanbase is potentially huge as their the only big club between Chelsea-Fulham and Watford. This gives them a spatial monopoly over areas like Brent and Wembley

Btw i just had a look at the population of that place called "Brent", it has a population bigger than that of Newcastle, Shocked QPR should have a massive fan base.

Tried to sell QPR to Toon, who was looking for a new club. Well it's too late for him to join now, otherwise he'ld be a glory hunter. Milan watch your ass, QPR are back.

They probably do. In the EPL they used to fill the stadium. Not sure what attendances they get now, but they're pretty shite at the moment. I'm definately going to catch a few games when I move though.

Yeh, Brent AND Wembley should be supporting them, but most are gloryhunters (or TS)

Don't particularly like QPR, but as long as nobody with a large disposable income buys pikey-infested Millwall, I don't particularly care. Having Fulham, Millwall and QPR in the Prem would massively hinder the popularity of the Prem.

Has Mittal actually visited Hammersmith and Fulham? Poor rich man's Chelsea. Ale

Nice kit indeed. They used to have a great for other teams unplayable plastic pitch. Think they were the first club to have one.
