England to get revenge on Germany Empty England to get revenge on Germany

    Post by L.r.d Fri Jan 25, 2008 12:20 pm

England will play Germany in a friendly match in Berlin on 19 November.
Fabio Capello's side will travel to the Olympic Stadium, the venue for the 2006 World Cup final, for the game.

"I'm delighted this fixture has been arranged, it should be a real challenge and something the players will look forward to," the England coach said.

England's last match in Germany was the famous 5-1 victory in a World Cup qualifier in Munich in 2001, with Michael Owen scoring a hat-trick.

Time to show them Germans who's boss after Mclaren's disgrace Biggrin <Ale>

    you can say that again

    lol!

God knows why the players would look forward to it though

they were humiliated at Wembley by our C-Team

so imagine what our A-Team will do to them in Hitler's Olympic Stadium

the last time Engerland played there was in the 30s

the German players HAD to do the Nazi salute, otherwise they would have been off to a labour camp

can anybody please explain to me why England played at being Nazis as well Question

This should be good. The build-up to the last friendly on here was lots of fun, so hopefully it will be just as good for this one as well (although hopefully with a more satisfactory result this time!).

Presumably at that point they had no idea that Goering, Himmler and the Fuhrer were planning on murdering 6 million jews out the back for a bit of fun?

This should be a good game.

EVERYBODY knows the Germans got lucky at Wembley. England will only have to create half the chances they did that night to win this one. Fingers crossed Lemon and Rooney will play. We all know Rooney loves to humiliate Mad Jens for fun.

Maybe throw on Walcott too, seeing as he hit a couple past the Jarman youngsters last time England played the young men shafters <Ale>

England lost 2:1 to France at Euro 2004 and I think they also lost to England may have been Beckhams 1st game as captain but it was under Peter Taylor ??

We lost 2-1 to Italy in a friendly a few months prior to the 2002 World Cup. Robbie Fowler scored the opener, but Montella got two late goals in the game.

Think Italy won the last one 1-0 in a friendly Gattuso scored, was not a proper event.

France last one, I hate to remember No 1-0 up, won a penalty, Beckham missed it Grr Zidane got a lucky free kick in the 89th minute, and scored James moved the man off the line Grr Grr Grr Then Gerrard made an outrageous back pass in the 91st minute Yikes Grr Grr Grr Grr Grr Doh Henry won a penalty, zidane puked on the pitch then scored. I never understand how we lost that game.

On Germany, it was the B/A team you exaggerating germans. Even with Mclaren still England managed to outplay ze Germans, im sure with Capello the result will be very different indeed. Have good memories of Munich. 'Zerorooney' with the hat trick this time please Biggrin <Ale>

Damn I gonna miss England on Euro Evil or Very Mad you cant deny that is a shame that they missed the qualification. I hate Mclaren so much. It would be nice to see England playing the big boys in the summer, even if they left early. I still dont get why play Germany so early again. But I am interested to see Capelo team for the first time.

I wonder if I will see England be World Champions in my life time, that would be sweet. Hug
