Other than the hiccup against Leicester, we've been very good this year. We've always played a mixture of experience/1st teamers along with young or fringe players (Sinclair, Sidwell, Pizarro, Ben Haim SWP - Got his chance in the 1st team because of impressive CC performances).

Obviously travelling to Greece and back doesn't help, but we play 48 hours before Spurs, which gives us the edge in fitness.

Cech; Belletti, Carvalho, Terry, A Cole; Makelele, Essien, Lampard; SWP, Anelka, Drogba is a fairly likely line-up (With Cudicini, Bridge, J Cole, Ballack, Shevchenko on the bench).

Chelsea are so dire and uninspring this season (yet to actually play well in a match Wink ), surely the majority of people will be cheering spurs on.

If they can handle drogba, and it's obviously a major if then they will beat them.

Try telling this to the players of Birmingham, Everton, Wigan, Portsmouth, Liverpool. In fact, the only teams to beat a Drogba-less Chelsea this season are Arsenal and Manchester United. Razz

    Nice wind-up attempt though. Ale

yeah the managers usually release cup final line ups to fans forums before they do to the press, I have the Chelsea line up already but I'm waiting for confirmation on the Spurs side before I post. Should be just after lunch Ale

Desperately want Lampard and Terry to play and for Spurs to win with Jermaine Jenas scoring the winner before doing a Martin Taylor on Fat Frank.

Sky Sports news is absolutely ridiculous.

They have a man at each of the teams hotels - why ?

They can't get near the players so when they go over to these reporters they just say "we think the Spurs players have just come down for the breakfast" or some such guff.

Spurs have stopped the reporter getting too close so the Sky reporter (rather petulantly) said about three times in the space of 30 secs that "its a sign that the pre-match nerves are getting to Spurs" - no they just don't want you there you worthless dickhead.

Staying with Media its very distasteful to hear all the propaganda from both the written and TV media on behalf of JT and Frank (I wouldn't be suprised if this originates from the players/their agents) and how they'll both think about leaving if they don't play.

I hope Chelsea fans remember this next time someone like Lampard does an interview declaring his love for the club or wears a rather cringeworthy T-Shirt praising them - they only care for their own egos.

...hang on, sorry to interrupt and...yes I've just heard that Dimitar Berbatov came down for breakfast some time ago.

Now, we understand that he had Kelloggs fruit and fibre but picked out the banana bits and put them to one side before pouring the milk on.

We'll keep you up to date with any further developments...

I think Drogba's the most likely to leave, but that's excellent news because it means that we can use the money to bring in Chevanton! We'd be dominating both the Premiership and Champions League for years to come.

Chevanton and Sheva would be some double team. The entire premiership would be running scared. Chelsea may even finally actually play well in a match again

I can understand Terry and Lumpard being left out given their long layoff (and the fact that Chelsea look better without them) but shagger Cole's a much better full back than Bridge. Bridge is too slow as was painfully demonstrated in the England game.

cashley is a very good LB but i haven't been overly impressed by him in a chelsea shirt. He adds absolutely nothing going forward, i know he wasn't a good dribbler or crosser either when he was with us but he atleast had great understanding with henry and pires the way they passed and moved down our left flank. Chelsea play differently, he adds nothing going forward since he isn't a good dribbler or crosser, so in some games it might be better to play Bridge ahead of him.
