Mardruck, new member (personal friend of mine)

Mardruck is a personal friend of mine who has just joined the Board.

A Grêmio supporter from Porto Alegre living in São Paulo.

Hope he'll post here now and then, cause he knows a lot about the game and should add a lot to the Board, especially in the International section.

I hate Gilberto Silva. For me, he has the same utility as a lamp post in the field.

My favorites are Dinho, who played for us in 1995, Sandro Goiano, who been to last year Libertadores final (even though I don't like to remember that game) and Lucas, who all Grêmio fans miss very, very much his technique.

he's a Gaúcho, a Southern Brazilian. The Gaúchos are almost Uruguayans. They hate samba football, Denílsons, Robinhos, etc.

Rochemback has been good this season..was dissapointed with him the last couple of years but seems to have finally settled.

Doriva was neat.

Here we've hearded a lot of speculations leading to that. It seems odd, for me, a player who is well and young in Europe to come back to Brazil. Him also played for Internacional - our greatest rivals - so it seemed odd.

Yeah I read some reports linking him back to Brazil. I can only assume its because he's seemed so unsettled with us for a while, he does seem to be happy now. He's getting a lot of games and the fans appear to like him(most of the time anyway). He may still end up leaving at the end of the season I suppose but he'll at least leave with a better reputation if he does.

Lucas as in Lucas leiva of Liverpool fame ?

Technique is not the word which comes to mind for him

He is rapidly becoming one of my least favourite players

Yes, it's Lucas Leiva. He was the heart of our midfield in 2006. Thanks to him that we got to the Libertadores and, if wasn't his injury maybe Riquelme wouldn't killed our hopes and dreams.
