Post by bluenine Thu Aug 31, 2006 11:14 am

A rundown of all the moves to be completed on transfer deadline day…

Milan have signed forward Ricardo Oliveira from Spanish club Betis. Johann Vogel has gone in the other direction.

Marcio Amoroso has left Milan after six unhappy months with the Rossoneri and has joined Corinthians on a free transfer.

Ascoli have agreed to take Albanian international striker Ervin Skela from German club Kaiserslautern.

Messina have reinforced their defence with the acquisition of former Juventus and Italy defender Mark Iuliano. He was a free agent after quitting Sampdoria.

More to follow as deals are confirmed...

didn't click well in Serie A, but he is rated.

But considering that Spalletti prefers Vucinic over Nonda, Hmmm... don't expect any fireworks from him...

No offence man...although Moratti and co. are the nicer guys in football, Inter's transfer policy is unbelievably stupid.

Do you agree? I mean they have fantastic players in their squad but they always fail to keep a solid nucleus of players around which to build.

Adriano-Ronaldo is just the tip of the iceberg. Moratti is a sentimental man more than anything and this is just nostalgia. The pragmatic grade for this move would be a D+.

Mancini, IMO, is a slightly above average coach but continuity will do him a world of good. But why let go of Pizarro? Why bring in a plethora of strikers and one who is grossly overrated (Ibra)?

You are spot on, dude! Moratti acts by his heart, not his head... not always a good idea....

Our transfer strategy was going so well till a few weeks back... Maicon, Maxwell, Grosso, Vieira, and Crespo were all brilliant deals.

Then Recoba was confirmed - ridiculous - he should ve been sold as soon as we got Crespo... Recoba is more surplus than any other striker...

Then Ibra came in (meaning we lose out Martins)... I guess that was a Mancini request, and am willing to give the coach the benefit of doubt on this one.

Selling Pizzaro (instead of Cesar/Solari) was a mistake, but I guess Mancini tried to stop him, but Pizzaro wasn't convinced that he fits into Mancio's plans.... ok, still understandable (even tho we still lack replacement in that dept).

But this Ronaldo-Adriano swap saga is pits.... even if Ronaldo slims down and has a coupla good seasons, he si no way worth the same as a 24yr old Adriano!! Adriano had a bad season (so many players do initially - SSS), he merited another year before any judgement... With Ronaldo, we would ve changed all our 3 main strikers, and that is silly. You just cannot go about chnaging the team every time, there will never be continuity - and thats where Inter has suffered the most -and now we are doingit again. Really silly.

Updated list of transfers done today:

    1. Milan have signed forward Ricardo Oliveira from Spanish club Betis. Johann Vogel has gone in the other direction.

    2. Marcio Amoroso has left Milan after six unhappy months with the Rossoneri and has joined Corinthians on a free transfer.

    3. Milan have also waved goodbye to Pasquale Foggia today. The Under-21 international winger has joined Lazio on loan after spending last year at Ascoli.

    4. Ascoli have agreed to take Albanian international striker Ervin Skela from German club Kaiserslautern.

    5. Messina have reinforced their defence with the acquisition of former Juventus and Italy defender Mark Iuliano. He was a free agent after quitting Sampdoria.

    6. Serie A new boys Catania have taken Walter Garcia from Russian club Rubin Kazan on loan. The 1984-born stopper previously played for San Lorenzo.

    7. Former Lazio defender Leonardo Jose Talamonti has accepted to join Atalanta after the Bergamo club reached a loan agreement with River Plate.

    8. Chievo striker Amauri says he has joined Palermo after turning down Udinese. “They’ve been after me for two months and I want to win something important in Sicily,” he said. “We started talks today at 8am...” Chievo will receive around £6.5m and Denis Godeas in return.

    9. Torino have gone oriental after netting Grenoble attacker Masashi Oguro on a permanent basis. The Japanese international, 26, has signed a two-year contract.

    10. The Granata have also netted Italian playmaker Stefano Fiore on loan from Valencia.

    11. Serie B side Treviso have a new goalkeeper after they convinced Fiorentina to loan them Serbian shot-stopper Vlada Avramov.

    12. Inter have successfully completed the loan capture of Mariano Gonzalez, an Argentine international, from Palermo.

    13. Roma have a new defender in the form of Costa Rican international Gilberto Martinez. “We’ve given him to Roma on loan,” said Brescia chief Gino Corioni. “The player deserves the move.”

Moratti confirms a deal with RM to trade Ronaldo for Adriano ?
