Wasn't sure where to make this thread, but I guess the eduardo tackle could be put in.

Bouaouzan on Kokmeijer is the worst ever : he should have gotten jailtime for it and Sparta's license should have been revoked for five years.

Quique Alvarez, who made that tackle on Robben, just got a one game ban, whereas Ramos, who was sent off for two yellows in that game, got a 2 game ban.

I think stupidity is a pre-requisite for getting a post in any FA in the world.

they never cease to amaze me. i havent seen the ramos thing but i heard that wasnt a sure red wheras Alvarez was a direct red card. Im not all for giving out long suspensions but there should be some fairness.

Can agree with the first part but what the f@ck has Sparta got to do with it?

I disagree with both parts. Horrible foul extra ordinary category, so 10 matches up to a season ban (something Davids should have gotten too for his 2 intentional red card fouls in a few minutes recently. or Bosschaart v AZ some years ago was at least at bad as Bouaouzan's foul he was just lucky, he didn't kill the guy)

Imo the hype against that kid was even worse than the foul he made

I'm fully in favour of tougher sanctions against dangerous fouls. Pity most refs are bad a judging them. Wonder how many actually played footy themselves. For me it's dead easy

Rule change to

1. foot over the ball
2. 2 legs
3. stretched leg (the wrong way)
4. show studs
5. from behind

5-10 matches every time. Would prefer tougher sentences for outrageous fouls (like Bouaouzan's).

You need good refs though. I've no problem with a clean tackle on the ball from behind. In fact I love them. Pity you see them less. I'm talking about fouling your opponent from behind.
