It's a horrible way to lose, sure, and I'm gutted for you
(what a shameless lie), and you've every right to think you created more, even if they weren't that many clear-cut chances (and think back to e.g. PSV's offside goal in the first leg...) – but that's the way it is against PSV, as Arsenal found last year.
You have every right to be upset but I fear you don't really cover yourself in glory by being sniffy about it – PSV don't have your financial resources and you can't fairly accuse them of being cynical and negative, getting away with throttling the life out of the game, etc etc. Arguably by extra time they were the better side once again.
That's the way football works though – Gomes was (not entirely unpredictably) the difference. It was a brilliant shot from Steed but the reflex save was just stunning, world-class – same goes for the save of Jenas's penalty, without which you were again through. Fantastic keeping and it shows there's more than one way to win a football match
