PSV played as a real experienced European team. Im rather amused Puro is attibuting Farfan as some kind of one man show- PSV defended and attacked as a unit very inelligently.

We will have to raise our game massively to get a result in Holland

Outclassed by a gymteacher that fielded his second team ok

Anyway saying Farfan is Motm and all that is a bit stretched, everyone played very well. Marcellis ok if he continues like this..Oranje says I.

Gomes is always amazing, but cause he is the best keeper in the world behind Iker you wouldnt gave him the highest marks either.

Affalay or Marcellis Motm for me ok

You have to give Ramos time to build HIS Team, these are not his players. PSV had a free player on midfiled the entire math, because Zokora has always been abit clueless/stupid tactically (Though has abundance of energy/work-rate). Ramos has to work from what he has.

You're right we're not out of it yet, but we need to play much better and diciplined in attack/especially in defense...

I wouldn't mind signing Affalay. Would suit the Arsenal style. We need more depth especially on wide position.

If Downing had the pace of Lennon he'd be immense Sad

If Lennon had the crossing ability, passing ability, ball retention skills..and shooting ability of Downing. He'd be quite good too Sad

    From psv.nl

Ibrahim Afellay looks set to start

PSV head coach Sef Vergoossen expects midfielder Ibrahim Afellay to be available to face Tottenham Hotspur at the Philips Stadium on Wednesday evening in the UEFA Cup Round of 16 return leg. “My gut feeling is he will start”, said Vergoossen at the pre-match conference in the press hall of the Philips Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Centre back Carlos Salcido also previewed tomorrow night’s game.

The Mexican defender stressed that PSV face another test of concentration as Tottenham surge forward. “The game requires ninety minutes of concentration, just like at White Heart Lane. We must put in a commanding display in order to book a place in the quarter finals.”

Ibrahim Afellay, who joined his team mates for full training on Tuesday morning, looks set to start. “We’ll have to wait and see if he comes through the training session unscathed, but things look all right. My gut feeling is he will start”, said Vergoossen, who told media representatives that PSV are physically and mentally ready for tomorrow evening’s challenge.

    ----

He also said he expects Spurs to play their usual 4-4-2. Latest news everbody fit at PSV.

    I trust Ramos.

He turned around a similarly perilous situation when Sevilla had to go to Shakhtar Donetsk last year (perfect opportunity for Pierre to bring up Chevanton).

1-2 is enough for Spurs. At least according to the Spurs fans on the psv forum...

Quite funny thread there...cause its more about who's the bigger club Newcastle or Spurs Laughing

    i think 3-1 or 2-1 PSV, at best a 1-1.

if spurs could have made a 1-1 in the first leg, its always a bit of a gift for the second leg as the away side, because even if the home side scores first in the second leg, 1-0, nothing really changes, you still only have to score one to make it to ET.

however with spurs, although 0-1 at home isnt actually as bad as it can seem, it still means you have to score at some point and you cannot afford to concede, which i see as spurs major problem.
