I wonder if Owen regret his move away from Liverpool, it no coincidence he left and Liverpool started to win prices again.

decent first half, I'd have been pissed off about that penalty decision if we hadn't gone in ahead. Newcastle's heads dropped after the first goal and they were probably saved by the half time whistle.

let's get a couple more for Torres early doors and rest him and Gerrard for half an hour Ale

Smith is doing his usual anonymous role, managing to avoid taking any responsibility on the pitch, passing the ball five yards into trouble whenever he does make an appearance. It's a wonder as to what exactly he does to make us persist in playing him, because he and Joey Barton are literally the two worst players I've ever seen play for Newcastle. Presumably he works tirelessly on the training ground, and perhaps is good at shouting a stream of nonsensical but positive-sounding football jargon, 'get up 'em' and so on, but then training is just preperation for matches, and he hasn't done anything half decent for us all season. Hopefully he gets himself sent off today.

We are the worst team in the league at the moment, a rubbish bunch of players, by far the worst as a group since we were promoted to the Premier League, whose heads go down as soon as a goal is conceded, and who on top of this are having some very bad luck.

Martins is on the bench has no hope of playing when Owen is fit.

Smith is an automatic first choice without question Rolling Eyes

Keegan isnt thinking Laughing Liverpool would have won today regardless but he clearly isnt learning playing the same shite each week.

We have to go to get something at Birmingham next week, and getting something should be within our reach, but really we are relying on winning our home games against Fulham, Reading and Sunderland. That would keep us up comfortably I guess. The problem is where the goals are going to come from - without Martins, the answer is that they aren't going to come - he kept us up last season really with his goals, and we need to play him now, because he is the difference between a flaccid, lifeless team and one with pace and threat. The other problems is that we are in such a mire at the moment, confidence is lower than ever, and we are suffering from the bad luck that often crops up to afflict teams during such periods.

Last week I began to see that we really can go down, that we are close to doing so, and at the moment I'm prepared for us to drop. But I still think we will do enough to survive.
