    Likely team:

    -----------------Green------------

    Neill----Ferdinand----Tomkins----McCartney

    Solano----Collison----Parker----Ljungberg

    --------------Ashton----Sears-----------

Bench: Walker, Pantsil, Noble, Boa Morte, Zamora

Injured/Not Available: Upson, Gabbidon, Collins, Davenport, Spector, Faubert, Bowyer, Quashie, Etherington, Dyer, Bellamy, Cole.

I'd be happy with that...4 youth products starting and 2 on the bench Biggrin Ale.

must win, and hopefully Bolton & Spurs will do us a favour vs City and Portsmouth (I fancy both of them to drop points actually - Bolton will see this as a must-win and should be well up for the game, and Portsmouth are without Defoe, with Spurs in good scoring form)

Us vs Sunderland should be a home win, they're hopeless away, but after dropping points home to Boro I'm not wholly confident. It'd be nice to keep a clean sheet for the first time in 23 years.

Newc-Fulham and Reading-Brum are two BIG games down the bottom. viva Reading!

Im off to Bolton tomorrow, massive game for them in their relegation battle and big for us as a win could see us climb to 6th....although Villa will win so wont happen. It will be a tough game for us and they will be well up for it. I really want us to win this cos i hate bolton, their fans to my head in cos they think they should be pushing for a champs league place, now they are struggling their attendences drop by 10,000 which shows just how bad their fans are.

    First up, Spurs Vs Pompey

On paper this should be a really open, entertaining game, there's been over 100 goals at the lane this season and the pressure is off for Spurs.

Think it's nonesense how Defoe can't play for Pompey, he'll be a miss for them today.

nils at villa at half time.

from listening to commentary, sounds like we've been crappy, tired and predictable, as we have been in the last couple of matches. iffy at the back - carson is sounding less and less like a good long term buy - and not much in attack. just gotta hope we can grind out a win somehow - with portsmouth losing earlier, and hopefully blackburn & city dropping points, it could be crucial.

My stream stopped after ten minutes got another working on 30th minute, based on that, Newcastle have had more chances but they still haven't got a midfield. They have acquired a new AM/playmaker called Owen but he missed a sitter so not much of a goalscorer. Apart from Bullard Fulham have Arsenal Syndrome, play neatly in front of the goal create an opening don't shoot. Can't/won't cross either. Newcastle need a DM though as they give Us far too much time on the ball
