Zenit v Bayer (2nd leg)
Seeems Skibbe has thrown the towel (resting key players, playing desperately out of shape Schneider). How un-German!

$h!t, had Barnetta. Anyway, come on Zenit, loaded up on them and Bayern players (though I wouldn't mind seeing the Getafe fairytale continue).

If anythng I would've thought it would be Zenit who rest players. Seems like the same team that thumped them earlier

Re: Zenit v Bayer (2nd leg)
Only 4 matches played in the Russian league, so depsite already being a few points of the pace, Zenit can focus on the UEFA Cup. First ever chance for them to win something. They just don't want to f@ck their 4-1 lead up. Furthermore Dutch (manager Advocaat) & Russians (especially from St Petersburg, which suffered 1M+ deaths because of the German siege) love beating Germans.Khadrim wrote:If anythng I would've thought it would be Zenit who rest players. Re: Zenit v Bayer (2nd leg)
Not surprising. Bayer have a huge game against Stuttgart coming up which could have a considerable impact on their chances of getting European football next season. They've got little chance in this tie and it makes sense to rest players for the league rather than tire them out by travelling all the way to Russia, playing a game they've got little chance of progressing from, and then having a big league match to play on Sunday.

Re: Zenit v Bayer (2nd leg)
Leverkusen have an important game against Stuttgart on Sunday. The race for Uefa Cup and CL spots is very tight in the Bundesliga.

Re: Zenit v Bayer (2nd leg)
It's not my cup of tea, the Russians brought it up, not me. I just put it down (i e copied it) to indicate how they view the match (in answer to the question asked about Zenit taking it seriously).Effenberg wrote:Leverkusen have an important game against Stuttgart on Sunday. only in German (big blue button 'aktualisieren' is for 'refreshing'; if a goal has an assist, the assister is in between brackets):

Leverkusen are attacking & Russian defence looks suspect

already had him in my team, kind of had to play him. only play players in 'decided' returnlegs if I already have them & have no other option.kas wrote:FFS just brought Anyukov into my team this matchday
maybe he'll get an assist or a another goal. he's pretty attacking I was really gutted I had him on the bench last match day...
wasn't to blame for the goal either.

Re: Zenit v Bayer (2nd leg)
Advocaat will probably explode at HT. Bayer seem to want it more than Zenit. Bayer's Castro & Freier both picked up a yellow.

What a disgrace. I think we will have to add Advocaat to the Cr@p Dutch Coaches thread!
