People and clubs must learn how to invest. Especially Dutch are whoeful in investing (also in regular business) because they are always afrraid to spend money. We have to learn how to deal with the "big" money....

Exactly!!! Didnt qualified for WC2002, didnt won anything with Barca in his second period. Had a bad second spell at ajax.

Good point. If Marco would be smart he'ld set it up.

Come to think of it wouldn't mind if Feyenoord bought him either. He could be 1 of the CDs. we need some build up qualities in defence.

That's one of your biggest problems indeed..

On Feyenoord, I still can't believe this Feyenoord never played as a team....

For example, If one player in the attack pressed the defence from the opponent the rest of the players where standing behind their man because they were scared the rest of the team couldn't press well... etc etc...

Leo, How come Van Marwijk never made a team of this Feyenoord? Feyenoord had the quality to finish third, easily.

Because we were lacking quality in too many areas. My season ratings on the team will teel this season's story:

Timmer 7 - reliable
Lucius 5 - idiot, able to play a striker onside without noticing it, despite having fullview of the situation.
Hofland 5.5 - never rated him & he plays exactly like I thought. needs as much space to turn as an oil tanker (Senderos II). poor build up. sloppy
Bahia 5.5 - On abilty our best defender, but can be all over the place
Greene 5- Clueless. Maybe verbeek can sort him out, otherwise sell him.
Buys 5.5 - works hard. That's it. sell him.
Vlaar 6 - our best CD, poor build up too.
De Cler 7 - hope he stays for life. Finally we have our new Heus.
Sahin 6 - Started well, therefter faded. bit too soft. Glad we bought El Ahmadi.
Gio 7.5 - Player of the season. We have a great captain for the next few years.
Landzaat 6 - started less well than I expected, but expect him to improve
Hofs 6 - at least he always works hard, had a great understanding with Makaay for a while, but I think we should aim a little higher.
Bruins 6 - great player, but so lazy. Still would like us to play him behind the striker as attacking playmaker next season.
De Guz 6 - much better than last season, but like Bruins a lazy bastard. Hope we sell him. You can't have 2 players like them in 1 team.
Makaay 6.5 - should have scored a few more, because apart from scoring he doesn't contribute much. Class act though.
Mols 7 - did very well. But we should get 2 additional strikers.
Fer & Wijnaldum - 6.5 extend both deals.
