AZ moet voor het komende seizoen op zoek aan een nieuwe trainer. Louis van Gaal heeft aangekondigd komende zomer uit Alkmaar te zullen vertrekken ondanks een tot medio 2009 doorlopend contract.

Het vroegtijdige vertrek van Van Gaal kan niet los worden gezien van de matige resultaten van dit seizoen. Was AZ afgelopen seizoen nog titelkandidaat, dit seizoen strijdt de ploeg tegen degradatie.

Hoewel Van Gaal blijft volhouden dat AZ goed voetbal speelt, komt de club niet verder dan de twaalfde plaats. De play-offs voor een Europees ticket zijn verder weg dan de play-offs tegen degradatie.

Maybe he could take over Cruijffs supposed role at Ajax, but then again I doubt he will work with Van Basten.

Newcastle should have made a move for him rather than for Keegan.

The new AZ manager can't do anything wrong. About impossible to do worse than Van Gaal with the team & money they have. Always good taking over from somebody who fucked up.

AZ tempted fate thrice in a row, by keep selling their best players and semmingly still improve every year with a new squad.

So Van Gaal is staying for a while, because the players want him too & now the players if do they really welll can make him stay.

Why on earth didn't they consult the freaking players before The club/Scheringa & van Gaal decided to part ways?

You're right about it being too quiet. Don't take they have a lot of mentality in their team. They need a player that kicks ass. Think Van Gaal should have dealt with it being too quiet. It's been clear for a while that ignoring the issues doesn't help.
