I assume that says the road is closed for celebrations the next day?

Most likely there will be no road the day after, there is even going to be a celebration for the team at the city hall...RIDICULOUS. Only a team that won the league or a EC should be given that honour.

Think so too. My mate suggested -if we win the Cup- to celebrate the UEFA Cup win 2002 too (bring that team on the townhall balcony too).Yef wrote:Most likely there will be no road the day after, there is even going to be a celebration for the team at the city hall...RIDICULOUS. Anyway I predict a riot (already have a few shops in mind )

Negatief reisadvies Rotterdam
Negative travel advise for Americans to travel to Rotterdam this weekend..

If anyone thought it was a hoax or anything
This Warden Message is being issued to alert U.S. Citizens traveling to and residing in The Netherlands that the Rotterdam Feyenoord soccer team is scheduled to play Roda JC in the Dutch Cup Final on April 27. Press reports indicate there is the possibility of a public celebration the following day, Monday, April 28. Previous celebrations following high-profile soccer games in Rotterdam have on several occasions gotten out of hand, involving rioting, extensive vandalism, and the looting of businesses. Press reports indicate that Rotterdam municipal authorities have announced the police will adopt a policy of preventive frisking of members of the crowd expected on the Coolsingel, in the area around the Stadhuisplein in Rotterdam, on April 27. American citizens are advised to avoid the area around the Stadhuisplein, Coolsingel and surrounding areas in central Rotterdam on April 27-28, and to exercise caution, avoiding groups of people. Don't travel to Rotterdam at all, if you don't need to.
As noted in the Country Specific Information for The Netherlands, demonstrations are commonplace in The Netherlands and may range in number from a few people to several thousand. Prior police approval is required for public demonstrations, and police oversight is routinely provided. Nonetheless, situations may develop which could pose a threat to public safety. U.S. citizens are advised to avoid areas in which public demonstrations are taking place.
We remind American citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence.
American citizens are, therefore, urged to avoid the areas of demonstrations if possible and to exercise caution if within the vicinity of any demonstrations. American citizens should stay current with media coverage of local events and be aware of their surroundings at all times. Information regarding demonstrations in The Netherlands can be found on the U.S. Embassy The Hague’s website at:
http://netherlands.usembassy.gov/demonstrations.html
Americans living or traveling in The Netherlands are encouraged to register with the U.S. Consulate General in Amsterdam through the State Department’s travel registration website, https://travelregistration.state.gov so that they can obtain updated information on travel and security within The Netherlands. Americans without Internet access may register directly with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
For the latest security information, Americans traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department’s Internet website at http://travel.state.gov, where the current worldwide Caution, Netherlands-specific information, travel warnings, and other travel alerts can be found. Up-to-date information on security can also be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the united States and Canada or for callers outside the united States and Canada, a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444. These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays).
The U.S. Consulate General in the Netherlands is located at Museumplein 19, Amsterdam, tel. (31)(20) 575-5309. The after-hours emergency telephone number is (31)(70) 310-2209.

That's all too funny.
Don't care about the Cup at all (compared to lots of other things in footy), but am very nervous, because I can not take another year without European footy.

'Meaningless'? So it's not an important trophy like in England or Germany?
Good luck to you then, a big club like Feyenoord needs to play in Europe.

Tomorrow another chance...the team will get honouring..on monday 1130 And that for winning the cup..but mainly because we didnt got one for the UEFA-cup cause a dutch politician got killed a few days before that...so people really want one.
Speaking of that uefa-cup match against Dortmund..now that was a night full of riots..
As long as we dont play the jews, Germans or win or lose a final there wont be any riot
