I heard someone say that a good manager can make a team 10% better but a bad manager can make a team 50% worse.

Using this theory, what impact, positive or negative, does the manager have on your team?

I would give Mancio the credit for making a talented bunch of individuals work like a well oiled machine. But there is a section of Inter fans (minority, fortunately) who think otherwise.

Interesting question, especially when applied to Barça/Rijkaard. I don't think I can really give a numerical answer, because Rijkaard is a coach with very well-defined strengths and weaknesses, unlike others who it's more difficult to analyse.

For example, Rijkaard's style is perfect for a big club, where he establishes a system and then lets the players get on with it. But then he lacks the tactical flair to tweak things if they are not going well.

Wenger makes us 30% better in training then ruins it by taking away 40% with squad selection, tactics and motivation. That's - 10%

And there's probably a bit more to go after the 30% considering how poor Arsenal are at setpieces.

I think Wenger's main undoing is his stubborn resistance to buy some world class players which could take his team into the next level. Otherwise he is an excellent coach, and plays great football... like Spalletti and Prandelli in Serie A, modern football really NEEDS coaches like these who cann think outside the box and dare to go against the grain to play exciting attractive football.

Some of the recent player turned coaches seem to be similar in this aspect... most woudl give a siumilar assessment to Mancio and Donadoni, but I guess they are only growing tactically and are not finished products yet as coaches.

Its been better recently, a few years ago most Gunners would admit it was dire.

We seem to be scoring a lot more corners this season, but we could still do with a decent freekick taker (van Persie's fitness cannot be relied upon).

Actually, come to think of it, we desperately need a freekick specialist... Inter have not scored from a direct freekick all season!!!! One of the few disadvantages of getting rid of Adriano and Recoba. Luckily, Balotelli looks very good at freekicks.

But I hope Inter look for this skill as a criteria when selecting a replacement for Figo.
