Great club, blessed witha great history & think they've been a breath of fresh air in the EPL Ale Nobody plays like them & everybody likes playing them. Really disappointed they're going down.

    Will miss them Sad

Feel really sorry for all those nice people in Derby.

Any chance of Stoke or WBA doing a Derby next season?

I would guess at least one of them will be about as bad as Derby..think WBA might manage if they buy some good defenders..though if they lose Phillips they might need another old head up front.

WBA will be decent - probably similar to Sunderland/Brum.

Stoke/Hull/other playoff team it depends how much money they have to strengthen. they'll struggle to do as bad as Derby though. it's a shame for Derby that they were THIS bad...it is a big club, good supporters, lots of history.

After this Arsenal performance whch was so lethargic and unspirited performance I still stand by my statement the goals vs Derby don't count.

Derby were an established Premiership club no so along ago...which makes it even worse. Not like they were a Bradford/Barnsley/Swindon...so to be on course to be the worst team ever in the Premiership is pretty sad.

& a little longer before that they were 1 of the topclubs in Europe.

Would rather have had Wigan going down.

By the way I'm a West Ham fan until Saturday. Let's piss off the Mancs once more.

It is a dilemma. Is it worthy to be promoted to the Premier if you don´t have a team to be there or to establish a more solid team and go there in a couple of years more?

Most chose the first... and pay for it. Can´t blame them though.

So goals don't count but if someone plays halfway decent against them, it does count and justifies you hyping them to high heaven?

And the defending pale At least Fabianski flopped enough for Wenger to see we need a new GK.

WBA are actually reasonably decent - they need a bit if money though if they are to stay up. Think their current squad would get about 25 points.

Stoke will probably be $h!t next season

it is unpredictable. I bet everyone predicted Wigan to go straight down but they finished top half, while Sunderland (who'd been promoted top, ahead of Wigan) finished bottom of the prem with 15pts!

We could see Stoke or Hull do as Wigan did, rather than Derby (although it is harder each year - now the trend seems to be for 2 teams to go straight back down, while a few years ago, it was generally only 1).

The thing with this season in the Championship is that no-one is going up convincingly - so whoever does will have a lot of strengthening to do. Derby came up through the playoffs last year with more points than any of the teams can get this year!

Billy Davies would have got far more out of Derby this season than Jewell has done although both have pretty much exemplified what NOT to do in the transfer market upon promotion to the Premiership.

    I mean c'mon:

Darren Moore - a 33+ year old who's an absolute beast but very slow, so does a job against c/ship target men but comes unstuck against Premiership defenders with good pace and movement.

...clearly needs a decent defensive partner to cover for his weaknesses

so who do Davies and Jewell think of as excellent replacements?

Andy Todd - a 33+ year old who's an absolute beast but very slow, so does a job against c/ship target men but comes unstuck against Premiership defenders with good pace and movement.

    and then

Alan Stubbs - a 33+ year old who's an absolute beast but very slow, so does a job against c/ship target men but comes unstuck against Premiership defenders with good pace and movement.
