    Il Derby Empty Il Derby

Post by bluenine Fri Sep 04, 2015 11:20 am

Two fallen giants who have spent loads over the summer to get back to their rightful place in domestic and european football. We have the derby in a weeks time! And there will be loads of players playing their first ever derby, some even making their debut for the club...

This is what I want to see from Mancini:

    Icardi
    Jovetic --------------- Perisic
    Brozovic
    Kondogbia - Melo
    Telles - Murillo - Miranda - Santon
    Handanovic

Possible subs: Juan, Medel, Gnoukouri, Guarin, Ljajic, Palacio

However, Mancio may decide to not start with debutant Perisic, instead play another midfielder (Guarin/Medel) to clog up the supply to Milan's strikers.

    Probable Milan starting line up:

    Bacca - Adriano
    Bonaventura
Kucka - De Jong - Bertolacci
Antonelli - Zapata - Romagnoli - Di Sciglio
    Lopez

Possible subs: Mexes, Ely, Abate, Poli, Suso, Menez, Honda, Balotelli

The stakes are getting higher. Its very likely that these two teams will compete for the 3rd and final CL spot this season (behind Juve and Roma). For both, that is a minimum objective. This is going to be fun.

Considering all the money spent Milan's midfield and defense are shit.

Might watch this one, but if you dont put Milan and Inter in it,  wouldnt be able to tell which team is which. No identity these days. Every year a new squad.

Inter have literally bought a new starting XI this summer. Just the GK and Icardi remain from last season. But this transformation was much needed.

2 debutants for Inter tonight (Perisic and Melo). Telles and Ljajic make the bench.

Forza Inter. If we win this, we get sole leadership in the table... I've forgotten what that feels like.

That was a close game, good to see Inter holding on to a lead... its been a long, long time since we have done that.

    Balotelli looked good for Milan.

Only watched the second half..wasnt impressed with Inter after the 1-0..then again could have been Mancini tactic.

Balotelli looked good indeed for a change.

Milan deserved to win more than Inter, but it's their own fault for not taking their chances.

After the goal, Inter fell back and defended for 30 minutes and left all the initiative to Milan. Before that, it was an even game with Inter taking most of the initiative and Milan looking dangerous on counters. This could have easily been a draw with neither side regretting the result.

Handanovic made 2 crucial saves, but that does not mean Milan deserved to win. Having a top GK is also what makes to deserve a result. Icardi and Guarin also missed sitters, that doesn't mean Inter deserved a better margin.

Top of the league for the first time in 5 years. I forgot how this felt.
