I think Beckham is a tad overrated, as far as direct freekicks go, he's scored a few in his time, but his goals/fk's ratio is hardly anything special.

Werder lack someone who is consistently good at them. Diego is pretty good, but not really consistent.
Pander is the best in the Bundesliga when it comes to free kicks, Schneider is good at them also. Not that many specialists though.

Perhaps... but there are very few players you almost expect to score everytime they take a fk... very very few inspire that level of confidence.... to me, these only include Pirlo, Becks, and Juninho.

Downings good at the ones where he's putting them in the box for someone else...his efforts at goal are hit and miss. He's scored a couple this season from free kicks I think.
