Do any of you remember West Ham in 95? Tevez is a bit like Cole in the chances he misses. A day like that again would be to painful

Rather Tevez than Louis ‘eight chances’ Saha, plus with the Red Wiz someone is bound to score.

It's not insulting Tevez, Rooney would be the same. Cole just missed about 10 one one ones that day, and that made it so much more agonizing

That would kill everyone if the team creates countless chances and no one manages to find the back of the net, like the West Ham game last weekend an early goal will be ideal.

Well we managed one that day, but we needed another
But this time would be worse!
Because we are ahead, last time Blackburn were ahead and they lost on the final day as well, so it wasnt as bad. But this time would be a lot worse!
How would you like to win? early goal and comfortable? I want to go behind maybe by 2 goals, and then win 2-3 How enjoyable that would be wow.

Confoundness! Mother of all confoundness! If Manchester United go 2:0 down I may have to jump out of the window, can’t take that even if the team is capable of coming back, I’d settle for a 2-3:0 lead for Manchester United at half time, and then control the game and see it out in the second half. A early Ronaldo goal will be what the doctor ordered.

You get addicted to it. after last season which was the best season ever i have seen from Real madrid in terms of excitment, at least in the end, i was kind of disapointed that it wasnt more close this season allthough i did enjoy the way we won the league title with 9 men in Osasuna after being behind with 6 mins to go.Juligen wrote:L.r.d wrote:

Wigan FFS, Chelsea don't really deserve the title, but if you cant beat Wigan to win it, then neither do we i guess!
Ronaldo destroys the Wigan's and co where does that get you? oh yeah i wonder

Wigan tickets 'lost in the post'
About 100 envelopes containing tickets for Wigan Athletic's clash with Manchester United have gone missing and are thought to have been stolen.
Disgruntled Wigan fans have turned up for the match which kicks-off at 1500 BST, but are being refused entry despite having proof of purchase.
Wigan Athletic said the tickets were sent out earlier this week by TNT special delivery.
They said the tickets cannot be duplicated for safety reasons.
A statement from Wigan Athletic said: "Unfortunately the club are not able to reproduce or duplicate any tickets for this fixture due to safety reasons and so for the very small minority of fans that have not received their tickets the club can only apologise.
"The club is currently contacting the supporters to explain the situation but regrets that this happened and really does sympathise, but has done everything possible to avoid this situation occurring."
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have doubled the number of officers they usually provide on match days as they were expecting a larger crowd.
There were fears ticketless United fans could travel to the match ready to celebrate if they win the league title.
Outside the stadium, the Wigan fans without tickets said the situation was "desperate".
One said: "We've come to the ground, the ticket office said (the tickets) had been sent out but they haven't turned up."

Fook that for a laugh! Arguably the biggest game in Wigan's history and some their fans are locked out of the ground unfairly because some knob has lost or stolen their ticket?!?!?! Yeah, right!
The onus is on Wigan to sort this one out. Even if it means sitting some of them in the directors' box, or on the fooking Wigan bench, Wigan have got to find a space somewhere for these fans.
If Wigan don't find a viable solution before 1500 that's shocking behaviour.

Why is it the biggest game in their history? I'm sure they couldn't give a toss who wins the league title

True, one which they will most likely get beaten 3 or 4-0 in

Not sporting-wise, but TV audience wise. The entire Far-East and Asian subcontinent will be watching to see if Man. Utd. win.

Exactly.
Obviously there is a distinguishment between what is significant to them as fans of Wigan, and what is significant in a broader sense of football competition.
Example
Gretna winning the Scottish 1st Div against St Johnstone - Their most important game ever
Gretna - Some European team in UEFA cup, or Celtic/Rangers - Most significant games in their history to an outside observer...probably
