The Romford Pele. God I really do miss him. Not just my favourite for footballing reasons either.
Not really enough compilations on him which is a shame but there you go. The first 1 is his top 10 goals so you can more a less predict the winner although number 3 is pure class as well.

RP my mothers fave too, took her to a ressie game once and said keep an eye on Parlour h'e'll make the 1st team soon, sure enough few months later he was playing. my mother told anybody who'd listen the story.

His hat-trick against Werder Bremen away! I don't think I've ever been in such disbelief watching a game of football, particularly as one of them was such a brilliant effort.
(They might be on the clips above, I can't watch them at the moment)

My favourite player is Dennis Bergkamp, followed by David Rocastle. Aside from Arsenal players, Beppe Signori. I really loved watching Lazio play many years ago when they first started showing Serie A over here.

He really is a likeable player you can't dislike him.

Met him when I was 6 at a fun fair in Romford and he signed my t-shirt for me. Immediately became an Arsenal fan from that moment. Also handed me a signed footie as well as I won a penalty competition. My dad invited him back to ours for tea and it was buzzin.

Met him 2 years later when I was a mascot and he remembered me I felt so priviliged. Met him after the game again and he got my top signed from all the players and himself.

Yep, that's the one! I can't think of any Arsenal fan who doesn't like the Romford Pele because he had such a great attitude. Not the best player, but you need a few players like him in a squad because he had such great determination and commitment. Plus I think virtually every male football fan in the country was united in sympathy for him after his wife took him to the cleaners!

And of course anyone who helps to make Tim Lovejoy look like even more of a prat should be saluted.

I have that with Marc Overmars : I saw him playing for the Go Ahead Eagles second team once (was in fact the third team after the first team reserves).

A blind man could have predicted that he would go far....still feels a bit special though

I loved watching Dennis Bergkamp though he was my favorite opposition player, I also was a hufe fan of Vieira in his Arsenal days.

A few of the players I have enjoyed watching for Liverpool: Baros, Garcia, Owen, Agger and now Torres.

A few players I have enjoyed watching in general: Fabregas, Henry, Joe Cole, C Ronaldo, Trezeguet.

Earliest memories of watching Liverpool was of Robbie Fowler scoring goal after goal.

Fowler, Didi Hamann, Paddy Berger and suprisingly to most Reds at least, Gary Mac were my favourite Reds of my life time.

Though 'God' was my favourite all time Liverpool player overall.

Torres and Masch are my favorite current players.

Bergkamp, Rui Costa, Neved, Zola, Sheva are players I loved watching. Like I assume everybody, there are too many to mention.

At Villa, my first favourite was Tony Daley. Mainly for the hair. He was a proper pace-merchant, of the most awesome kind. then Dwight Yorke. Until he fucked off to Utd

Current Villa favourites: Young, Barry , Olof

Sam Aiston is my cult Shrewsbury hero, for his ridiculous brilliance in running past people but never ever ever getting a decent cross in. And doing sliding tackles which start several furlongs away from the player with the ball.

Honourable mentions: Luke Rodgers, Joe Hart, Dean Spink, Derek Asamoah

Currently: erm. there's a lot of recently acquired players who I have little affinity with and won't be around much longer anyway. Langmead, Tierney, Herd are the ones who seem to care most so they win.


Other favourites. The usual: Zidane, Ronaldo, Fortune-West, Ronaldinho, Baggio.

Oh yes, Cantona as well! nearly forgot about him. Some people say he was overated, but these people are fools.

He was a bit to be fair but only 'cos the Prem wasn't good then - he never did anything in the CL or international tournies so people are bound to say that.
