Hoeness went absolutely MENTAL when Kroos was brought on successfully by Hitz and immediately created a few perfect assists

he almost started SHOUTING on TV that journalists should stop hyping young players and thereby destroying them

it's quite possible that Hoeness would have told Loew in no uncertain terms that Kroos was a no-go

still, the lad does not get enough playing time Bayern to justify a Nationalmannschaft inclusion

he IS the real deal though

Klose, the least hyping man in Germany (a country where hype is frowned upon) has called Kroos WORLD-CLASS many times

a WORLD-CLASS PLAYER (not merely TALENT) at the age of 17

but our problem these days is that the REAL MEN are dying out whereas skill and talent is on display in every back-yard

we REALLY are the NEW Brazil

the good news is that

a) EVERYBODY will fall in love with German football

b) Brazil have actually won quite a lot

so, it's not ALL bad
