Bloody hell, thats madness. Even given his bundles of talent, there's no guarentee he'd make it at Chelsea.
I thought he was really overpriced at £35 million when people were saying he could be a Ronaldo replacement.

No, not meatspin like what Hysen posted
Not a particularly great source, and no quotes, but I'm sure it was on Sky too.
And Ronaldo's replacement? Assuming you mean take up Ronaldo's position, that'd be a horrible transfer for both involved. Aguero is never a wide player. He's as much a wide player as Rooney is.
It is a high fee, but no higher than what most other clubs value their star players at (Torres, Ronaldo, Villa, Kaka, Messi etc) I'd argue that Aguero is more important to Atleti than any of those players are for their respective clubs as well (important as they all are)

But all of those players are alot more proven and experienced.
Plus no offence to Atletico Madrid but Liverpool, Man United, Valencia, Barcelona and Milan are much bigger clubs, so he's bound to be more important.

Well of course, but Atleti are also a very ambitious club and like I say, are NOT a selling club.
Remember this is a kid, who at 20, has already been playing first team football for 5 years (youngest player ever to debut in the Argentinian league), has won and starred in an U20 WC, and has just finished La Liga's third top goal scorer, winning La Liga player of the year to boot. Not to mention the fact he's already an important part of the senior squad. He's not as proven as any of the aforementioned names, but he's about as proven as he can be at his age.
How much did Rooney go for again? Rooney didn't have a whole lot of experience either, and the market has become even more inflated since that period

£24 million plus add on's. So just over half that value.
But he'd just been one of the stars of Euro 2004 and already had premiership experience.

I didn't realise Utd got Rooney after Euro 2004
But another big difference is the fact that Aguero cost Atleti 18m in the first place, and given his performances, they'd be looking to get at at least twice as much when they come to sell him.
Benzema I imagine will cost a similar amount if/when he leaves Lyon
High buyout clauses are obviously there to discourage bids anyway

He may well break the 100 goals in a season barrier

I don't mean the clause is low in the sense of a transfer fee, but low relative to what buyout clauses usually are. For the 'crack' of your team you would put in something like 100 million euros or more, so that clubs like Chelsea can't suddenly go mad and just pay the buyout clause knowing there won't be any negotiation required. 55 million is extremely high, but it's 'accessible' if you know what I mean.
