The extensive travelling would mean that the English side would have a big disadvantage in all the away games. Conversely they would have the advantage in the home games. Also, I do not believe that the Serie A referees have any requirement to speak English so I think the english players would get a lot of cards for dissent.

They pretty much gave up on the league after the League Cup final and if you just look at Ramos's tenure they were getting similar points per game to teams like Villa.

Also, they've just bought one of the hottest midfield talents in Europe and have made a massive improvement on their goalkeeper.
