Post by fcb Fri Aug 01, 2008 5:07 pm

Milan, Sevilla, Chelsea, and Lokomotiv Moscow.

Currently watch Milan-Sevilla...fairly entertaining game with some strong lineups on both sides. Milan's lineup is: GK, Oddo, Maldini, Kaladze, Zambrotta, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Paloschi. Sevilla are featuring their new signings Squillaci, Konko, and Romaric. Maresca, Luis Fabiano, Jesus Navas, are the others starting.

Gattuso has just scored an own goal.

    Later Chelsea play the hosts.

Was an amazing run by Capel, and he had more space in front of him and was charging towards goal. Guess Brocchi's "cynical Italian defender" instinct kicked in Wink

Just finished watching replay of this game - don't see anything special in this situiation. Tactical foul by Brocchi and he got second yellow card. He had to foul, after Capel beat half of the Milan team with his dribble and quickness...
Brocchi's face expressions after being sent off would seriously pissed me off if I would be referee though...

    Sevill looked very solid btw...

    I have two questions:
    1) Is this a real result?
    2) Does it mean that when/if I will pick up replay of this game I will be able to see how one and only Ivanovic is playing?

Also, I read some stuff recently about 4-6-0 being future of football, but come on, Milan crossed the line and forgot to include even one offensively minded midfielder!!! WTF?

Didnt noticed this and posted the result in Serie A thread , apologies

Kaka might want to reconsider his loyalty to AC Milan after the Italians were thrashed 5-0 by his summer suitors Chelsea in Moscow.

Four goals from a razor-sharp Nicolas Anelka were more than enough to settle the third-place play-off in the Railways Cup pre-season tournament after Frank Lampard opened the scoring.

Milan's Brazilian star did not feature as his team put in a miserable display, typified by some comically inept goalkeeping by Zeljko Kalac.

Audrius Ksanavicius handed Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo victory in his first game at Tynecastle as the Edinburgh club beat Hull 1-0.

The Lithuanian headed home just after the half-hour mark in a game of few chances.

Yeah Kalac is a clown, but what else is new? Smile At least this will probably ensure that Abbiati will be our no. 1(or even better, buy a new GK).

Our lineup was comical but Ancelotti doesn't have any forwards tbh, Pato-Ron are with the Olympic team, Kaka'-Borriello-Pippo all injured.

Yeah, he is the best we have but I don't think he's a top class keeper. However, when compared to the other two liabilities then he's like Lev Yasin! Smile Obviously we should have a better GK, as well as better defenders but unfortunately the bald idiot in charge doesn't think that way.. He even suggested playing Ambrosini as a CB.

In Poland in last 2 years we had a dozens rumours about it... but maybe it's finally time for Milan to look at Boruc again, he would really helped them.
And I know, he's not old enough and too expensive Smile.
But seriously - I would love to see Boruc to put some pressure on Celtic's management, and forced them to sell him for some normal money, 8-10mln euro sounds fair?
