Kompany to sign for City !

Vicent Kompany is set to sign for City in a £6m deal !

HSV have already confirmed, however we have yet to comment but lots of sites say its a done deal.

Get in he will be a great signing, still only 22 and at £6m will be a bargin.

Do you think this means Corluka will be going ? !

Kompany is supposed to be a good DM isn't he? Either he plays there, or Corluka is going. If Corluka does go then it isn't a great swap.

Spot on Kimbo, thats what city fans think is happening. We will play him alongside Johnson with Fernandes and Hamann on the bench.
Corluka isnt going, he is happy it ws just his agent trying to make money but we wont sell !

I know many Man City fans, some of my best mates are Man City fans. They once didn't get Hamann and what he was all about but they so changed their opinions espically after last season where I thought he was absolute quality like he was for us. I'll aways have a soft spot for Didi

I rate him. Still young, bu fairly experienced. Is a very good attacking left back with excellent crossing/set pieces and good dribbling skills as well. Uses the ball well. Not as strong defensively but this can just be put down to inexperience. Has all the atributes to become a top left back, even if he does lack a slight bit of pace.

I thought Shitsack Sayonara had his assets frozen, they must have spent close to £30m this summer have they sold anyone of note? I doubt Isaksson and Samaras combined a tenth of that. AND there's apparently a new striker coming?

He has had £800m frozen for the last year mate but he has more money that isnt frozen. Plus we get tv money and have a lot of new sponsorship deals and stuff.

Rumours are strong that Milito will sign before the deadline....would love that

idle googling suggests that City have borrowed £35m against future Premiership TV money. I guess it's a fairly safe bet, but it does make you wonder how they had planned to pay Ronaldinho's transfer fee plus his reported £10m a year wages.

I think they said at the time that sponsors had agreed to fund that deal specifically.
