Yeah.
Our purchases were Malouda (£15m) + Belletti (£4m) and we sold Robben (£28m). I think this was pretty much it... got Sidwell, Pizarro and Ben Haim on frees and Alex for £1, if I remember correctly.

Reports are that they have paid 210m pounds for Man. City. Not sure how they will handle the debts. Interestingly, Thaksin has so far apparently made 50m from the 1 year he's been there!

Still don't think they should drop Ireland, but the pressure will be to play the big money signings like SWP, Robinho and Elano. He'll be great cover for any of them though.

It looks good attacking, but Johnson is the only one who'd do anything defensively, so I think they would get out-battled in midfield against some teams. I guess it'll be Kompany and Johnson + 4/5 of the others.
Whatever, I'm kinda glad we've played and beat City already...there'll be a buzz about the place with Robinho, even if he takes a while to settle.

So how do you rate City current defensive options? Good enough to challenge for the top 4?
Think their defence (includes DMF) is not as good as their attack. Don't get the Corluka sale either.

They need right and left backs and maybe a top class defender - someone that can nurture Richards.
