It's something like 8 goals and 5 assists in his last 7 games for club and country. When he's hot, he's really hot.

To be one of the absolute best he needs to do it throughout the season though.

Trochowski should have scored for Germany about five minutes ago - he was free to shoot in the six yard box after a pull back from Schweinsteiger, but he fluffed his shot. That was probably the best chance of the second half. Germany are in control of the play and they are starting to create chances, but Wales have broken well a few times with Bellamy. Fritz has just come on for Friedrich at right back, after Bale - who is a horrible little player - spent a few minutes lying on the ground.

Rooney's atonement for all his pathetic performances in Euro qualifying?

Anyway, after watching England play, I wanted some dose of proper football, and by lord, Belgium-Spain game is one of the most entertaining. I'm mighty impressed by couple of Belgian youngsters.

TS: Razz No, I don't - and well noticed, because though I don't, I don't think I've mentioned it many times. He's the type of player that I might be inclined to like, because I like left footed players, left wingers in particular, and I do think he has a nice left foot. But he has an irritating face; I've never been too impressed with his performances when I've seen him play; and whenever I do see him, he goes to ground quickly and looks tearful every time he goes to ground.

Wales have been pushing their luck, and Trochowski has just scored.

Everything that's wrong with Gerrard. Set up Crouch for a certain goal or set up Rooney for a hatrick, hell even take a touch and slot it home yourself. No I've got to smash it first time. Erm

    Slovakia-Poland 2-1 FT.
We lead after Smolarek scored off the good play between Blaszczykowski and Brozek, and basically we controlled game for 85 minutes. But then Boruc did a big time fumble (check it out somewhere) and one minute later Slovakia scored for 2-1. Dammm Doh

What on earth's up happened to the German defence just then? Only outranked by the Welsh's inability to grasp the opportunity.
