Just saw highlights from 1st half. First goal for Liege should be off, player who passed to Mbokani was offside when he beat Lescott for a through ball. Still Everton's defence is terrible, nobody (especially Neville) cared to stay close to Mbokani. Own goal was a disaster too.
But it looks like an exciting game at least, Arteta-Osman-Yakubu combination was nice.

That is some achivement.

2-1 is a great result for us, tbh it should have been by more seen as we also hit the woodwork 3 times. Really pleased to see Jo score twice (he was also unlucky to hit the post and bar as well) They have to score twice at ours and im confident we can get through.

Goats, you seem to be less resolute at the back this season than under Pearce or Sven, just due to new management and players? Or do you reckon its just a case of your defence acclimatising to the new season and will get there in a few weeks?

The Onomia defensive performance was one of the worst I've *ever* seen, no exaggeration. Their defenders showed no positioning, no organisation, strength of a 5 year old girl, and just an immense amount of general cluelessness. Every City chance was created by the Cypriot defenders. They're lucky that Jo and Ireland kept the score at 1-2.

0-0 at half time. Both sides seem fairly impotent, perhaps Crackoff plan to go hell for leather in the last ten minutes in the hope of going through on away goals.

Spurs playing a strange formation a kind of 4-4-1-1 with Campbell on the left and Modric as the 1 behind Bent but getting lost on the left a lot.

Boring, boring game I will spend the next 10 minutes sending Channel Five hate mail.

it's like watching Everton TV. The Channel Five team couldn't be more biased if they tried. Probably because they need Everton to go through to be sure of a job
