Whats he offering Ricardo?
He's starting to think he's a striker now. Leaves to much work for Hargreaves to do.

Yes. Either Gerrard in the centre and Lennon on the right, or Carrick in the centre and Gerrard on the right, both look like better options at the moment.
If Lampard starts performing for Chelsea he should have a chance to force his way back into the England team.

So what would be people prefer -
Gerrard --- Hargreaves --- Carrick --- J Cole
or
Lennon --- Hargreaves --- Gerrard --- J Cole

He almost scored last night in the first half with a good shot.
First time I can remember cheering when it got saved. If he had scored again last night it would paper up the fact that as a central midfielder, he is simply not fitted for the Mclaren style - his passing is not quick enough, accurate enough or short enough.
Carrick or Reo Coker need their chance now.

first one is the way forward against the better teams... especially as rooney coming back will occupy flumpy's space and role.... carrick deserves his chance now

What's really annoying is that there's an obvious single subsitution that would change the whole way England play - and yet McClaren let Lamps stay on after a woeful first half. A bit more ruthlessness needed from the Manager!

First too. Lennon can remain a second half impact player. Hes only 19, no point rsuhing him in . Carrick on the otherhand has been knocking on the door of an England spot for awhile now.
Joe Cole and Gerrard would need to learn not to roam too freely inside, although when G Neville gets back and Ash Cole starts playing regular club football again than the fullbacks will be better at providing width on both sides

I'd rather Greggavedon and Beehive join us. Considering I said all along "I'm not anti-english, I just don't think these players are good enough/suited to international football." Shame they've not joined us... I baked enough humble pie to go around.
Greggavedon should definitely have signed up, given the amount of times I argued that Italy were a far superior team and not "average" like he said.

Lampard won't get dropped in the near future thats the depressing thing.
He is seriosuly holding the team back at the moment.
Two positives for the next game will be the return of Rooney and Cole - two of our best players, esp Cole who has come on leaps and bounds for England recently.
We just need to pray that Lampard has a couple more shockers though - we're talking truly awful

Also downing must be dropped asap

Yeh, I expect Reo to hav e a cracking season playing ahead of Mascherano.
If we had Hargreaves and Reo as a midfield partnership we certainly wouldn't be lacking on work rate
