in the spirit of "Wife Swap", I think it could be a good idea to do a "Manager Swap" for one year
some chaps are clearly very able, but merely need a change of scene
others need to fundamentally question the way they work by being confronted with TOTALLY different situations
so this is what I propose
a) Mourinho to WErder + Schaaf to Inter
b) Rutten to Real and Schuster to Schalke
the first one is pretty much self-explanatory
Inter fans are growing restlesss with the Portuguese's loudmouthing bullshit as well as his anti-football; Schaaf is possibly the QUIETEST, HUMBLEST and most attack-minded manager in the world
meanwhile, Werder fans would welcome Mourinho's defensive solidity and winning mentality, both areas which have been Bremen's achillis heel
after one year though, Werder fans would yearn for a return to the old days and throw rose petals in front of good old Roland in anticipation of Schaaf's return and Inter fans would just be fed up with Schaaf's boring personality, appreciate his attacking football , but HATE losing against nobodies from Cyprus
both Mourinho and Schaaf would return CHANGED men as well
NOTHING would be the same as before
--------
as for a Schuster-Rutten swap
Real are in the business of stocking up on mediocre Dutchies, and Rutten would fit in perfectly
Rutten is to mangement what Sneijder and Drenthe are to players
Schuster will never get into the minds of those overhyped Dutch heads
meanwhile, Schalke love drama like no other club in Germany
Schuster could be the overdose that the Gelsenkirchener need and shock the club board into humility and a yearning for boredom
after one year, Rutten would be embraced as a much needed antidote to Schuster's petulance and Real would beg Schuster to come back , having realised that there is such a thing as "too many Dutchies at one club"
this might just about work
think about it
