Hitzfeld will definitely leave after this season. The only way his interview answers earlier tonight could have been any more obvious would have been for him to simply say it.

So, who should do it? Who's up for the madness?

Serious answers. No van Basten or Rijkaard jokes please.

Klinsmann is absolutely impossible. Don't forget, Hoeness is still alive.

Rijkaard would be perfect for Bayern...

(I don't think he'd ever do it though)

There's been flirting between Bayern and Van Gaal for ages now, maybe it'll get serious this time (doubt that too).

Time for the best German manager to go to the best German club : Doll to Bayern Ale

(Thinking of Doll, Jol used to be a Bayern player....)

How about Gertjan Verbeek as successor of Stevens at HSV ?

Hey Axe, we posted at the same time.

Do we really know that van Gaal and Bayern have been 'flirtatious'?

Any chance of them going for Schuster if he were to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season? Managers rarely last long there and if he doesn't achieve success he could easily be on his way out.

The main problem at Bayern is Rummenigge and Hoeness. It's time for Hoeness to leave the bench and be a just the GM (or soon president). Rummenigge should have been fired after his post-game remarks (Bolton match) about Hitzfeld.

Schuster? Too early. Maybe some (post-Hoeness) day.

success or no success, i can see this being his first and only season in the job, he clearly isn't happy with Pera and Ramon (no surprises there)

Did Klopp not say on ZDF that the reason Wenger didnt play Lehmann was because he was French??

Ribery would never get a game with him.

Bayern should go for Mourinho although Im not sure if he would accept. My guess is though that you will be stuck with Matthäus.

I have a feeling it will be Mourinho. The usual names like benitez, Wenger, Matthaus etc... will all be linked of course.

Mourinho is the worst choice possible

he plays shite football , for which he would get sacked within a few weeks

    +

he is an egomaniac who needs to run the show (at Bayern, Hoeness and Dummenigge run the show)

    Lothar is a real option

    ditto Veh

they mentioned Houllier in the past

    and don't discount Hiddink

effectively Hoeness and Dummenigge should get sacked for driving Hitzfeld away

    there is no one better

Also the money at Chelsea has hid his many failures in the transfer market , also having that much money and only 1 striker in Drog and 2 reliable defenders in Terry and Carvalho doesnt look good while Terry was inherited.

Loddar is a profoundly clueless egomaniacal bellend (legend that he is). I wouldn't mind seeing it for the sheer entertainment value though...

you clearly don't know what you are talking about

    Lothar has been castrated

no bells, just an end to his bizarre pronouncements

he has become as bland as it gets

just read his "on the one hand, on the other hand"-comments in Sportbild

the best option would be Schuster, followed by Daum

the funniest option would be Breitner

    you heard it here first

I do read his pieces in Sportbild from time to time, they are self-obsessed and largely lacking in insight, even if they're not particlualrly controversial. There's no need to talk to me like that Otto.

Van Gaal @ Bayern would be a moment for the ages, after the end of this season if AZ 'somehow' gets a chance for the Champions League (which IMO they wont) he may move. But would Bayern want Van Gaal.
