Are there any huge prospects in your clubs academies to watch out for? Who are the top 5 U19 names you think will make it big from your club?

The top 5 talents owned by Inter would include:

    1. Mario Balotelli, 18 (Inter) - I guess you guys know all about him
    2. Aiman Napoli, 19 (Inter Primavera) - Our top scorer at the Primavera, we have lots of hopes on this kid. He has been consistent, scores almost every game, a striker in the Crespo mould. There are some doubts whether he will be able to make that step up to the senior game.
    3. Mattia Destro, 18 (Inter Primavera) - Another promising striker playing for the youth team, has built a brilliant partnership with Napoli.
    4. Philippe Coutinho, 16 (On loan to Vasco) - a kid we paid 4 Million for, have only seen him in clips and he looks like a talent - but anyone looks great in clips. They talk of him as the "next Kaka", I guess time will tell. He is expected to join Inter primavera when he turns 18.
    5. Stefano Giacomelli, 18 (Inter Primavera) - A talented kid we acquired last summer... a giovinco type of player, small but talented.

They never get a chance to play so i don't know. Nile Ranger scores goal after goal after goal, he's a big athletic guy, but doesn't get a look in. LuaLua had a couple of impressive cameo's last season, he scores alot aswell, doesn't get a look in. Tozer was highly rated, bought for 1.5m or something, doesn't get a look in even though the manager hates our left back. Aaron Spear was bought for a couple of mil at the age of 15 and dubbed the new Wayne Rooney, he's still only 16 though so i'll let them off for that one. LuaLua and Ranger though should be given a chance. <Ale>

Nathan Defouneso's the only one I've seen much of. 18 next month, played a few in UEFA cup (and scored 2). Pacy and good technique...when he's bulked up a bit, he could be a very good striker. Not wholly dissimilar from Gabby.

Barry Bannan made his debut recently. 18/19, Scottish left-sided midfielder. Looked decent, but I've only seen a cameo appearance. Might be a bit tiny to make it in the premier league.

    1. Daniel Parejo, 19 (Centre midfield) - Best player in our cantera at the moment, and we've actually brought him back from loan to play in the first team. Very good distribution, can get in the area and score as well. Great free kicks. I doubt he'll get a chance (too many Diarras in the way).

    2. Chema Antón, 19 (Left back/centre back) - Good young defender, normally plays left back can also play in the centre; involved with all of the Spanish youth national teams. Probably won't get a chance thanks to sh!t players like Marcelo and Heinze.

    3. Tomás Mejías, 19 (Goalkeeper) - Another great goalkeeper that we have produced. Still in the C team because he has Adan (21) and Felipe (20) ahead of him in Castilla. Depending on how patient he is, he could get a chance sometime (he'll still be fairly young when Iker retires Wink )

    4. Daniel Opare, 18 (Right back) - Another player we signed entirely based on one youth international tournament. He has good physical qualities and pretty good technique but in spite of that couldn't displace Javier Velayos at right back. Once he adapts to Europe maybe he'll be good but he's now out with another long term injury. Probably will get an opportunity eventually because he isn't Spanish (already trained with the first team a couple of times).

    5. Víctor Merchán, 18 (Attacking midfielder) - Really good technique, cool finishing, very good shot from outside the box. Is in the Spanish U-18 setup, currently playing with the C team but has been training with Castilla as well. Would get a chance if he were born in Amsterdam or Rotterdam or any place other than Madrid.

    1. Bojan - everyone knows about him

    2. Gai Assulin - pacy attacking wide player, very highly rated and is following the same expedited path through the youth teams as Bojan, Messi....and Giovani. So it's not necessarily an indicator of future success.

    3. Botia - he's a CB and although I've only watched him once or twice, he impressed me. Has a chance for sure.

This thread's criteria is a bit annoying because many of our more well known and very talented kids (already in the first team) are 20 or 21 - Busquets, Pique, Caceres, Pedro, and Messi of course.

Messiah knows much more about all the club's youth teams, so he can probably come up with 5 or more.

From what I've seen of Defluenze he's not as quick as Gabby but has much better technique ok

    For Arsenal there's….

    Theo Walcott (19)

Average right winger forward who probably won't make the grade. Destined for league two football Ale

Aaron Ramsey (18, but only just!)

The boys just turned 18. Joined from Cardiff in the summer. Has a good range of passing and seems to have a decent long range shot on him too. Reminds me a bit of Aquilani in terms of playing style.

    Luke Wilshere (17)

A more cultured version of Ramsey. More lightweight but with a better passing range. His slight body also makes him quite an agile player and probably capable of playing a good game on the wings. Doubt he'll ever be effective from distance but could be the next Juan Carlos Valeron. You heard it here first Wink

    Francisco Merida (18)

God knows what he's doing at the moment, but he's still at our club and he's still touted as a relatively decent prospect. Very lightweight however. Think Cesc not on steroids.

    Nacer Barazite (18)

Never seen him play but he's doing well in the reserves and in football manager he always ends out being a half decent, effective forward. The next Van Basten Ale

Tweedle, we've been over this before, it's Jack Wilshere.

Besides that, it looks about right.

I would like to give a shout out to Keiran Gibbs. YBQ very Q but not very B. Decent technique and could go on to be a very solid if unspectacular player.

Traore, also a left back, has better technique but is far less consistant with his performances.

I also forgot that Norwegian defender. Is his name Norsveldt?

He's supposed to be good. We paid a fair bit for him anyway and had to beat off a lot of other managers to get him Whistle

Also, just checked and Vela is still only 19 cheers

    Carlos Vela (19)

Looks like he should really have taken up a career as a porn star - apparently he isn't too bad a footballer though. His preferred position is up front, but he is equally adept on the left wing and as an AM. His 'special move' is a delicate chip over the onrushing goalkeeper which he manages to pull off with the aplomb of a fairweather Totti. Ale

    Insua
    Pachecho
    Nemeth

2 names many haven't heard of but names people who watch the U18 and reserves a lot have mentioned...

    Nathan Eccleston - http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/squad/ecclestone/

    and

Lauri Dalla Valle - 15 year from Finland who plays in anywhere along the midfield and up front. A bit more info on him,

Dalla Valle has been chosen as the best player of Finnish Nike Premier 2005 and Pohjola Cup 2006. Urheilulehti appraised Dalla Valle as the most promising 1991 born Finnish player and ultimately one of the most talented Finnish players of all time in its issue released in November 2006.

Several clubs were interested in Dalla Valle(including Inter Milan and Ajax) and Liverpool invited him to a test camp in autumn 2006. In October 2007 Chelsea offerred Dalla Valle a 3.5 year contract with a million pound signing bonus. Furthermore they promised to double any offer by Liverpool.

He has scored in nearly everygame he has played in for us and the coaches reckon he is the most natural finisher ever to come through our academy.

Saric, Ayala and Darby.. the latter who has been called up to our subs bench a few times v PSV and few others deserve a mention.

    1) GAI Assulin -17 (inside Left), as talented as they come, will be a WC player in a few years, Imagine messi with step-overs and you got Assulin.

    3) Rochina-17 (striker), A true number 9, spain top goal scorer at last years championship, with bojan already in the team and rumors of us wanting to buy another crack, he may not make it, but it won't be because of the lack of talent.

Lauri Dalla Valle. He's 17, I don't think you can ever really judge a player properly at this age they still haven't finished growing so have to get used to their body. He's tall, skillfull and physical but although he's got decent strength for his age and against his peers, he would crumble in the EPL.

    Some I would note.
Possebon 19- no body really knew anything about him when he was signed, a tidy, ball retaining midfielder.Hopefully he can make it.

Rafael Da Silva 18- Surprised everybody with his attitude, and how he wasnt overawed playing for the first team.

Fabio Da Silva 18- Only played a few games in reserves, due to shoulder injury.

    Welbeck 18- Recently turned 18.

Macheda 17- Even the Italians know little about him.Very impressed by him.

Petrucci 17- Shamelessly poached from Roma, boy can he run a midfield, comfortable as AM,CM,SS

Ra'el Morrison 15- Tricky pacy two footed wing forward.

Then there are others who are very interesting like Cathcart(on loan to Plymouth), Matty James box to box mid, Cofie 14 etc

I dont want to hype any player, but these are one with potential, and if anybody want to discuss about these, please tell me, otherwise its enough discussion.

    Bayern Munich

    Two real stars would be
Toni Kroos- Everybody knows about him
Breno - He is a ball playing CB, and can play in midfield.

    Others havent caught my eye.

Blue there is a winger Tremeloda sp? in your ranks, any info.

Gael Etock 15 Will be the next great african striker.

    Icardi: Argentina keeps producing them.

    I could go on forever

Chus terros 14: used to play for us, but is parents aren't real catalans so he went to espanyol

If i were the manager of any big club accross europe i would would give him anything he wants, for him to sign with us.

So anything less than winning the champions league for the next ten years would be a MASSIVE failure?

We don't have any luck in the CL, if wenger steals a few maybe arsenal will have a chance at the league.

La Masia has been producing some good ones lately no doubt. But everything goes in cycles. Soon you'll be back to developing the next Oscar Garcia or Gerard instead of the new Messi or Busquets...at last I hope so!
