More focus on league. But they were only going to get one more FA Cup game anyway, given the draw. Also, it could be a bit of a blow for morale to lose like that

Fourth place or FA Cup Final - which would you take?
4th, I reckon, if all you promise is the final.

An FA Cup win vs 4th is trickier. We haven't won anything for too long. In that case, I might choose the cup. 4th would be bittersweet if we went and lost CL qualifier or something, a la Everton.

I'd take the FA Cup if I were you too. I think you've got a good chance too.

I don't mind El Zhar, he has done well at times. On the otherhand. Considering how shite Plessis has been since the Aresnal league game at the Emirates last season, plus Masch in poor form pretty much all season... I shudder to think of what will happen come KO at Fratton Park.

Was up in Newcastle today and wanted to rush back to see that game. If I had known it would be that type of game I wouldn't have even switched the tv on.

I'm deadly serious now, I couldn't care less about that. It was the worst game of football i've ever seen and didn't we all know Rafa would be left with no options because of injuries to Gerrard and Torres. That's something for the press to masturbate over tomorrow.

I hated every minute of that game, Everton played better obviously when we went down to ten men (Lucas has now given away a pen and got sent off in his last two matches. Great little player he is.) and we needed it to go to penalties but it didn't. Well done to Everton.

Don't know how the team is going to win at Pompey at the weekend; Torres is destroyed, Gerrard will be out, Rafa doesn't even have Lucas to bring in....I dread to think what team we will put out there.

Unfortunately Lucas can play against Portsmouth.

If a player receives two yellow cards, his suspension doesn't kick in for 7 days after the incident, so he's a free to play against Portsmouth.

Didn't Benitez once say something like 'If you don't think Lucas is a great footballer, you clearly know nothing about the game.' ??

That may have been a dream I had, but if Rafa said that he's definitely gone insane.
