I was looking at some statistics of Attendance for this season and things have really picked up! The Serie A seems to be getting it's luster back.
Napoli have raised their average attendance significantly, as have Lazio after their fantastic start to the season. I remember them getting something in the vicinity of 20,000 to the Olimpico as little back as last season so it's really amazing how quickly they've managed to average 35,000 this campaign. Fickle f*cks. The big Milan clubs have also pulled their weight with Milan only playing one game at the San Siro with an attendance of under 50,000, and Inter averaging above 50,000 fans a game.
More than 2/3 of the teams have increased their Season ticket sales by a thousand or more. With big teams such as Roma and Inter chipping in with 500 each.
Unfortunately, Juventus is once again the embarrassment of Serie A averaging a lowly 22,000 fans a game in the 70,000 seat capacity Olympic stadium in Turin.
Season Averages:
1. Milan - 58,646
2. Inter - 52,443

It all looks promising, and it's one of the signs that the league is on it's way to reaching the heights of seasons past. There's still a long way to go though, Roma still have the highest attendance for this decade with an average home attendance of 64,000 in the 00/01 Scudetto season. (I just had to add that part in didn't I? )
