    Ferdinand?!

If we were doing Man United's player of the season, he wouldn't come in my top 3.

    1. Vidic
    2. Carrick
    3. Giggs
4.. Evra (though he's had a couple of suspect games lately).

I'd put him joint 5th with van der Sar.

I was just trying to pick one of the back 4...Evra is a possibility as well.

Giggs? Why Giggs? I still don't get it bounce

Gerrard won it in 2006 when I genuinely didn't think he deserved it.

I think he deserves it now.

Lifetime achievement award. BM will back me when I say that Kobe Bryant won last years NBA MVP award for that reason, when there were clearly 3-4 better players than him.

Schwarzer has been one of the best keepers in this league for too long without any real recognition.

Very good keeper, I'd still think he's slightly behind Friediel in the awesomeness stakes though.

God knows..we should've just given him the contract he wanted. I dont think he'd been happy for a little while though, said we fucked Viduka about..which we didnt, that fat c**t gets what he wants all the time..and had put in a transfer request the season before he ended up going, but changed his mind a couple of months later. Alot of our fans are spastics too so often got on his back.

have another guess, if we're giving out awards to players who looked finished and then turned out to be not quite finished then maybe VDS, Giggs and Scholes deserve a mention, but phenomenal? Untested would be a better word.

I think Lampard is the player of the season so far.

Lampard has been brilliant this season. Without Essien, and with Mikel and Ballack, he has changed his game to a higher level. Become more of a creative playmaker than goal scoring midfielder. Apart from Lampard, Ireland has been the most consistent player, and plays in different positions with ease. I specially like the way Robinho and Ireland coalesce the City buildup play, and SWP has been doing good too.

I thought of Ireland, Robinhop and SWP but they've been so inconsistant, a UEFA Cup win might make up for this. Murphy and Hangeland at Fulham similarly. Kevin Davies is having a very good season for Bolton without grabbing many headlines, if Geovanni and Zaki finish the season strongly people might ignore the middle, but they only real candidates for me Lampard aside are Gerrard, Torres, Drogba, Ronaldo and Vidic, with whoever has the better of the next 15 games and 3 main trophies surely coming out the winner. the likes of Alonso, Carrick, Mascherano maybe deserve to make the list too but aren't as sexy.

Ireland, Robinho and SWP? And you laugh at me for suggesting VDS?

I've been really impressed with that Welsh fucko for West Ham. Young player of the year perhaps?

Mascherano? Nah. Foul, run, foul, complain, run, foul, dive. Effective at his job, admittedly.

Not dissimilar to Davies at Bolton, but replace run with jump.

Ireland has a reasonable shout (maybe at Young player of the year, if still eligible?), he's been the most consistent of them 3 at City. Robinho, in particular has been up and down all season (currently on quite a long down..)

I didn't laugh, I disagreed. Still not sure you were serious. And I haven't suggested the City trio, I said they were too inconstant. I think Evans will probably be the young player.

Yeah I thought of Man. City too, but like you guys said, they have no inconsistency - you can't really give someone POTY when they don't show up in half the games (away games in this case).

Vidic has been suggested before. The guy got played around by Bendtner FFS Laughing Maybe because you mugs like to look at stats like goal conceded blah blah. Then why not Anelka? He's the runaway leader in scoring charts. He scored a hattrick with three different anatomical parts, all from 3-4 yards out. lol!

Laughing calm down, eh. Is the new criteria for winning awards that you have to play less than 10 games for Utd.

    Team of the year:

    Kusczak/Foster
    Rafael-Brown-Evans-Fabio
    Nani-Anderson-Scholes-Giggs

What are you talking about? Vidic has been excellent in 95% of games or more, he's scored more than most strikers and was the main reason for a record clean sheet run. Anelka's hat trick was in the f.a cup therefore not contributing to the tally you're referring too dumbass

But Fellaini's hair has the edge, it just looks all the more absurd.

Can't be arsed to bring up that list of dumb*beep*ery by Vidic over the season. The most notorious shirt-tugging cheating thug around. Ale

Of course, FA cup goals don't count. But it was a ridiculous hattrick nevertheless. In the league, Anelka's hattrick against Sunderland are from 3-4 yards out too. You couldn't make out that I was taking a potshot at him. Fairplay though, He is at top of goal scoring chart without taking FK and penalties like a certain winking-diva. Not sure what tally you're obsessed about. Don't get stressed out. No surprise to see a Manc-supporting c**t getting agitated for your team (or players or whatever) not being the center of attention.
