Senna almost never scores in normal play, but in such a big game, he comes up with a cracker. Hallmark of a world class player

Seriously, it's not much of a good thing to almost never score in normal matches - world class is scoring in both normal AND big matches (not that scoring is a big measure of world-classitude in DMs)

Fabianski coming on for Almunia. I didn't think the challenge with Rossi looked that bad.

Double save from Fabianski! First from Senna (another long distance shot) and then from Llorente in the small area.

Really dangerous freekick for Villarreal here.
Gallas about to go off injured. Silvestre time?

Sounds like Villarreal are playing really well and dominating the game?
I'm watching the other one and Porto are much better than the English team there too.

Yeah, Villarreal have had most of the ball. The last 5-10 minutes they've just been toying with the Arsenal defence in and around the box.

The positives for Arsenal are: Walcott's first 20 minutes and the fact that we haven't been buried in this tie yet.
Otherwise we have been appalling. The core of the team has been truly shocking. The defence are asleep, the midfield can't control the ball, pass or close down space and Adebayor doesn't look like a footballer. Plus we've lost two players to injury.
Villarreal are playing well, no doubt about that, but we are making it extremely easy for them. It's typical Arsenal, they play a team they are expected to do well against and the attitude is completely wrong. So complacent and they just can't get into the game. Really shit performance, as bad as any this season.

God awful first half from our perspective, nothing has gone well at all.
Walcott's one interception in the box automatically makes him our best defender this half. Attacking wise he has been the only positive too. The others have hit all their final balls into Lopez's arms, to the opposition or out of play. Barely seen Adebayor as well, aside from being offside or fouling players.
I fear Gallas' injury will be a minimum of three weeks.
