This Man. Utd. is not a CL winning team...they're not controlling the game at all and making too many mistakes in possession. And the defending is terrible.

So far it looks like Porto have made much better tactical preparations for this match than Man. Utd, who just don't know how to deal with the Portuguese team's midfield passing. On the other hand, Porto are quite well organised when transitioning from attack to defense. They just need to avoid further mistakes - some of these Man. Utd. players just played 48 hours ago, so they're bound to tire later in the game.

Doesnt look like fergie has thought about it at all. Just go get 'em. Porto look really dangerous on the counter attack and confident on the ball (too much so in Alves' case).

knee jerk reaction? I think so - its only a quarter way through the first leg of 2. They are capable of scraping through this and peaking closer to the semi's / final. Been seen many many times that the best side in the earlier stages DOESN'T go on and win the competition, be it CL, World Cup or whatever

Why is it portuguese teams are better at upping/adapting their game to Europe compared to German/French/Dutch teams. They come to places like Old Trafford with a much better attitude than those teams.

What, like Sporting at Bayern? I don't think you can necessarily generalise.

Maybe its just Porto then. But they seem to adapt better than say Lyon and they are both teams who tend to dominate their leagues.
