Mali striker Frederic Kanoute has agreed a contract extension with his Spanish club, Sevilla.
The new deal will keep him at the club until 2012, according to the Sevilla website.
"I am delighted to have signed a new contract that will possibly allow me to retire at a club that has given me so much," Kanoute said.
He will be 34 years old at the end of the deal.
Kanoute is the side's top scorer with 15 league goals this season.
He was crowned CAF African Footballer of the Year in 2007.
He helped Mali reach the final round of qualifying for the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations in 2010.
They drew 1-1 with Sudan in their opening game last weekend, with Kanoute scoring Mali's goal.
