Will Adebayor qualify for the ANC? In order for that to happen Togo need to beat Mali.

Friday's fixtures (can't find the kickoff times or streams yet):

    Togo v Mali
    Sierra Leone v Benin

    Mali 5 2 3 0 8 1 9
    Togo 5 3 0 2 7 7 9
    Benin 5 2 2 1 8 4 8
    S Leone 5 0 1 4 1 12 1

ANC QF: Kanoute helps Arsenal / Ade NOT to ANC. Mali-flag

Sorry Ade, love you but I'm Malinese this week.

Has Adebayor been playing regularly for Togo? He always seems to be in some sort of dispute with their football association. Hopefully he won't go to the ACN, it would be useful to have him available for Arsenal.

The main dispute between Adebayor and Togo's Federation is over unpaid bonuses from the World Cup. Adebayor has been outspoken over it and it didn't go down well with Togo's supporters. I personally think he was seriously disrespectful to his coach Stephen Keshi in the last Cup of Nations, helped to get him the sack, when he got Togo to both the World Cup and last Cup of Nations. That coach is in charge again and now Adebayor shows him some respect.

On a related note, El Hadji Diouf recently reconfirmed his decision not to play for Senegal again. It was over similar issues - the federation not reimbursing players' travel expenses, and unpaid bonuses.

Do you have a link to this? Interesting that he would say this now. He captained Senegal in the recent friendly against Ghana. From what I was told he gave no hint of such feelings.

Thanks. Seems like Senegal is a shambles organisationally, but you have to wonder if there is more to this. I'll bet Bolton doesn't want him to go to the African Cup of Nations and nor would any club he might move to. I expect next year his issues will be addressed and he'll be back for the World Cup campaign and will play in South Africa if Senegal make it. International retirement won't hurt his chances of a big move in winter transfer window either.

Checked about everywhere, know were to buy tickets,

ANC QF: Kanoute helps Arsenal / Ade NOT to ANC. 46526231470762db39a49

why it's played on Friday (elections), but can't find the kick off time.

Anyone have an idea where to find the kickoff time?

The original date for the match was 14/10 with a 20.00h kickoff (according to L'equipe), but it's been rescheduled to 12/10, could be the kick off time is the same.

Try googling CAF, Football. That gives you the website of Condefeation Africaine de Football. CAF organises the competition so they ought to know when and where it will be played.

Who scheduled this African matches? The ones who think Gerrard is a "world class" central midfielder? lol!

Sierra Leone were scheduled to play Guinea Bissau (for the WC) tomorrow, but they forgot they had to play Benin for the ANC! Now they moved Sierra Leone WCQ match to the 17th. Biggrin <Ale>

It's even worse: it's the ones who think the ideal central midfield partnership is Gerrard & Lampard. Allegedly the same people convinced McLaren to play 5 at the back v Croatia.
