The choice is obvious - Busquets...but that's for the first part of the question, and also from my club, so as the best new signing I'll say Emana of Betis...I'm sure there are better options though

Yeah, maybe those aren't the best choices...but because it's for this season, that's why it's so tough following the initial instruction of not picking your own team's players - because you could easily think of at least 2 Barcelona players for every category (except manager, wouldn't put Pep there ahead of at least 3-4 other managers in the league)

Best Young Player? For this year I'll go with Gonzalo Higuain. Still just 21 years old...lots of other good possibilities though: Mata, Javi Martinez, Aguero, Rossi

Best Newcomer? I'll go with....Emana, he's been a really good buy for Betis and he's got to have near 10 goals now.

Most Improved Player? Fernando Llorente; the Athletic striker is finally living up to the hype. His goalscoring was really quite awful for the past couple of seasons but he's really come into his own this year.

Best Homegrown Player? David Villa - he's the best Spanish player in the league. Or Xavi.

Best Foreign Player?It's got to be Messi, hasn't it?

Probably Messi...unfortunately

Best Manager? Honourable mention to Lotina and Tapia for working wonders with Deportivo and Malaga but I think I would go with Emery. With all of the turmoil surrounding the club, unpaid players, etc. he has still managed to steer Valencia back into the CL places. It is easy to forget this is only his second season managing first division football.
