Sure they can. Ronaldo will score a deflected freekick after 8 minutes, United hold out the rest of the game.

United are an evil team that can win using the dark arts. Barca are 'good' in that they like making it easy for their opponents in an honourable fashion.

I'm a believer in the CL revenge theory. Chelsea beat us, next year we beat them, then they beat us again (group stages)...so surely it's our turn now? And Manchester United beat us last year, so we should beat them in the final too?

I'm strangely confident about the team just like I was before the Clasico, but whereas in that match you could analyse the matchups and the teams' strengths/weaknesses and still back Barça, in this match the matchups aren't so much in our favour.

Anyway, let's see. It's the moment of truth. Arguably our best team since the Dream Team, so if we don't beat at least one of the English Big 4 in their peak, I don't know when we will.

quite agree Kas, I am quite confident as well. I think that when the chips are down, we'll do it, even if we have to come from behind.

Yup, even conceding an early 1 or 2 goal lead is not a concern for me. If there's one thing we've seen about this team this season, it's that they have answered every question asked. Except the 0-0 last week, but even then they did create some good chances and with slightly better finishing it could be a different story. And anyway, there's probably no other team in the world that would break down a bus with the quality and physical strengths that Chelsea have. Chelsea's own attackers probably wouldn't break down that back 8 in training that we were up against last week.


Let's just hope the ref doesn't ruin things like allowing the 4th goal in 2005, or from Chelsea fans' perspective, the red card to Drogba in 2006. Fair and square, so that neither side can have excuses. If they do park the bus again and win on penalties or a counter attack goal, I don't think we can complain, and must focus on completing a domestic double at least.
