but i agree, the rest of the league is superior to the EPL, but to say la liga is now better because of him and kaka is just

Just confirms what I wrote earlier: Most of the new generation of players, the "stars" in particular, are classless egomaniacs, spoiled c**ts pampered by the press and their agents, believing themselves to be much more important than they are.

He basically means because he is there. He doesn't give a flying fuck about Kaka

He is simply marketing himself, nothing more nothing less.

No doubt he'll be saying things such as 'well Messi, Kaka and I play here so us 3 players make the league the best'

We'll see how many Spanish teams reach the quarter / semi finals of the ECL. That will be the litmus test for the quality of the top part of La Liga.

I still retain doubts that this Real Madrid team will take time to bed in, understand the Managers ideas and learn how to play with each other. What i do expect is a great peformance against one team followed by a poor performance the following week because inconsistancy will be a factor for Real Madrid next season.

Ronaldo has improved the entire league , what a player

The funny thing is, Madrid are about the only club in La Liga who have been particularly active in the transfer market.

Villarreal have made a couple of useful signings in Marcano + Montero (who is supposed to be highly rated), though they have sold Mati which is a bad move imo.

Barca - Nothing?

Atleti - One prospect. Have been linked with Asenjo which would be a good bit of business. Still need another 3-4 players.

Valencia - Mathieu on a free..not as high profile as say Taiwo but by serveral accounts had the more impressive season, and is quite highly regarded in France. May turn out to be a good signing for a problem position, but they will bring in no one else of note unless they sell.

Sevilla - Nothing?

No one else in the league will bring in anyone of note, except maybe Zaragoza.

I see that Ronaldo is as humble as always. What a diva!

Ronaldo is an idiot and this sort of simplistic thinking wouldn't really bother me if it wasn't for the fact that many pundits will start to debate this very point that because one club has brought Kaka and Ronaldo this somehow means one league has become stronger then the other. I never really agreed with the EPL being stronger and I think using CL is not really a great tool for measuring league strength but even assuming that it was I can't see one club being able to just shift that completly.

Going by Van Gaal's comments, he seems to know that well also.

A bit surprising to read that Ricardo, you should know better. Your football tradition is actually very similar to ours in this respect. Your best coach ever, Rinus Michels, always emphasised the team (he worked in the Bundesliga later on, and was so dogmatic when it came to team spirit and discipline, that he made life hell for individualists like Pierre Littbarski). "Total football" in its essence means that the team is above everything else, and that every player can play every position - it's a very radical team oriented approach.

To have a great team, you need great individualists. But great individualists alone are never enough to form a great team.

TBH Cristiano Ronaldo is BIGGER than La Liga and certainly is correct in saying now that he has left EPL, it is poorer and will be 2nd best to La Liga!
