Fenandes

Manuel Fernandes is a top player. Maybe he isn't as accomplished as the others but he has just as much ability as Toure Yaya in my opinion.

I'm not denying his ability in fact he faired very well especially in the EPL especially whilst he was at Everton but in the top 10 with the names that have already been mentioned. I doubt it.

I don't think he is top 10 either. Surely players like Alonso, Carrick, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, Cambiasso, or others would come before him.

But I do think he has more potential and he is only 23. I would still think he would be a great addition to our squad.

I think VDV can be argued that he can or cannot be included, but Sneijder is a CM. Can they not contribute to the attack? I was considering putting in Kaka, and leaving out Gerrard but it is very hard to actually draw a line. Is Iniesta a CM? Are CMs DMs then?

If they play "just behind" the front pair or the lone striker then for me they are classified as attacking midfielders not centre midfielders. It's a big difference and from my observations both Sneijder and VDV are useful only in and around the penalty box, not in and around the centre circle.

Iniesta can play as an attacking midfielder but he is good and clever enough to be able to drop deeper into the centre of the pitch. In the past I have actually seen both Gerrard and Kaka do this, even though they usually play further forward these days. VDV and Sneijder cannot.

Kaka is in now from are shape a CM, he doesn't have the vision, passing, ability to dictate play.
