When young players get loads of different injuries one after another, it just looks like they might not be built for the intensity of top level football, no matter how much talent they have.

I can't off the top of my head think of any players who went on to play consistently well for sides for years having spent the early part of their career suffering injury after injury, but if anyone can prove me wrong on that one, throw any suggestions down!

    Jonny Woodgate?

    Steven Gerrard?

Until he missed the WC in 2002 to have a groin operation he was injured all the sodding time.

He still gets injured quite a lot before Internationals - something Giggs suffered from a lot and he's still playing at 56.

Woodgate never stopped getting injured every third week, so he definitely counts as one who doesn't have the physique for top level football. If Spurs didn't consider Woodgate and King their main centre backs, I'd expect them to make the top 4, this will be what keeps them from doing so.

Gerrard is fair enough, he has his niggles but at least plays more than he's out ok
