12 year old kid makes debut for Bolivian team

A 12 year old came on in the 39th minute of his team's match in the Bolivian league!!! He was on the pitch for 5 mins before some idiot predictably tried to make a name for himself by making a rough tackle on the kid, reducing him to tears. But after medical attention, the kid was able to complete the rest of the game. Couldn't prevent his team losing 1-0 though.

Anyone know more about this? Was it just down to too many injuries in the squad? Or him being very talented? Or blatant favouritism, considering that the kid is the coach's son?

Why did they want him to stop playing, because he was to younge and the tackle?

Well, it's pretty obvious they weren't happy with the coach's unprofessionalism - surely there are better players at that club than his own 12 year old son.
